In their own words
Focus Bear
Focus Bear is a productivity and work-life-balance app for morning habits, focused work, and evening technology shutoff. It blocks distracting websites and apps across devices using block lists, allow lists, and a stricter Grizzly Bear mode. Customizable morning and evening routines guide users through habits one at a time. The app suggests breaks, detects hyperfocus, and suppresses reminders during meetings. Starting a computer deep-work block can automatically put a phone into Zen mode and block distracting apps. Focus Bear says cloud sync keeps data and focus modes synchronized across devices. It says it does not log keystrokes or take screenshots, and records only user-provided Focus Block and quantified-self information. Calendar events with fbtrigger followed by a habit or focus-mode name can trigger an activity through Late No More. The app is designed by and for people with ADHD. Essentials is free; Pro costs $9.99 a month and adds unlimited blocking, AI-powered blocking, focus modes, focus music, meeting detection, and accountability-partner features. A seven-day trial is also listed. It runs on Android, iOS, macOS, and Windows.
one sec
one sec interrupts or blocks apps, social media, and websites to help users manage their time. Its customizable interventions can prompt breathing, reflection, phone rotation, or typing before a user continues. Scheduled block sessions can prevent selected apps or websites from opening during defined periods, while Healthy Alternatives can suggest activities such as journaling. Structured integrations can block distracting apps while tasks remain unfinished and show upcoming tasks as alternatives. The free version can target one app; Pro supports unlimited apps and adds intentional app switching, time tracking, website blocking, strict sessions, and other intervention types. A free LENGO integration requires a vocabulary exercise before social-media apps open. Browser extensions work with Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and other major browsers. The same account can be used on iOS and Android alongside browser extensions on Windows, macOS, and Linux. The maker says intervention logic runs locally and user data stays offline by default. A free plan and seven-day trial are listed. Pro costs $6.99 a month, the family plan $9.99 a month, and family lifetime access $149, paid once.
