In their own words
Gemini Notebook
Gemini Notebook, formerly NotebookLM, is a standalone research tool for organizing sources and answering questions grounded in those materials. It accepts PDFs, websites, YouTube videos, audio files, Google Docs, Google Slides, and other content. Answers include citations that point to exact source quotes. Audio Overview turns notebook material into a podcast-style discussion, while study notebooks can produce quizzes, interactive lessons, flashcards, and infographics from course materials. Notebooks can sync with Gemini Apps, where users can manage them and ask questions. A secure cloud computer can write and run code for source-grounded data analysis, with availability rolling out by plan. The Free plan costs nothing and includes 50 sources per notebook, 100 notebooks, 50 chat queries per day, and three audio generations per day. Named Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra plans list 2 TB, 5 TB, and 20 TB of storage, respectively, but no prices are listed. Individual data is not used to train the tool unless users provide feedback, which may permit review of the full interaction context. Workspace and Enterprise privacy terms differ, and some features require Keep Activity enabled.
Sana AI
Sana AI's Sana Agents is a knowledge assistant for organizations, designed to provide access to company information and automate routine tasks. Users can create customizable agents with chosen knowledge sources, tasks, and permissions. The service supports meeting recordings in Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet, and its integration collection includes Google Drive, Gmail, Outlook, Salesforce, Slack, Notion, Jira, and Confluence. Private integrations mirror each user's access in the connected system; access to shared integrations is managed in Sana. Sana says it encrypts data in transit and at rest, does not use customer data to train underlying language models, and is ISO 27001:2022 certified, SOC Type I and Type II certified, and GDPR compliant. Enterprise organizations can have their own single-tenant deployment. The Free tier costs nothing and permits up to five workspace members, 10 meetings and 20 chat messages per user each month, with unlimited agents and tasks. Team costs $30 a month per user and supports up to 50 members and 10,000 documents per integration. The iOS app supports the assistant, knowledge-base search, meeting management, and workspace information on iPhone and iPad.
