In their own words
GI2MO
GI2MO is a project applying Semantic Web technologies to idea management, with a free, open-source system called Gi2MO IdeaStream. Users can keep unfinished ideas private, edit them later, and publish them when ready. Semantic metadata links idea-management information with assets from other systems and the wider web; the Gi2MO ontology supplies a schema for describing collected resources. IdeaStream supports administrator-defined taxonomies, multilingual interfaces through Drupal’s internationalization API, and review browsing and filtering subject to user permissions. Other project applications demonstrate analysis and visualization. IdeaStream Analytics groups similar ideas using term patterns and contextual information, including k-means clustering. Idea Browser displays distributed RDF idea data in a bubble diagram, while RDFme provides REST-based RDF/XML import and export. The project characterizes its applications as prototypes and showcases. Idea Browser’s current form has been tested only with RDF data encoded using the Gi2MO ontology. Related prototypes include a relationship visualizer for RDF/XML exports, OPAL comment polarity analysis described as a simple proof of concept not aiming for high accuracy, and a Windows 8 touch app and iPhone statistics app. The project invites customization and collaboration inquiries.
