In their own words
Glide
Glide is a web platform for building internal business apps, with GlideOS as its standalone AI software-development product. GlideOS can read a spreadsheet’s structure, data, relationships, and logic to help create screens and workflows, or users can describe a business problem conversationally and build without code. Apps can add AI chat, summarization, image generation, and other described functions. Workflows automate repetitive operations from user-defined rules, and the platform answers questions about business data in real time. GlideOS connects with more than 1,000 services, including Gmail, Slack, Airtable, Salesforce, Google Sheets, Supabase, Notion, and HubSpot; incoming integration events can trigger workflows. Access controls include row ownership and granular permissions, with apps private by default. Glide states SOC 2 Type 2 certification, GDPR compliance, and AES-256 encryption in transit and at rest. Apps are browser-based Progressive Web Apps and cannot publish directly to Google Play or Apple’s App Store. Plans start at $25.00 per month after the free plan.
Ninox
Ninox is an AI-native low-code platform for building custom business software and workflows. Users can describe needs in plain language, then use AI and low-code tools to organize data, set business rules, create interfaces, and automate processes. Its use cases include CRM and sales, invoicing and orders, inventory, projects, HR, patient records, and care. Automations can respond to events and conditions or use scripting. Teams can collaborate in real time and generate, email, share, print, or export documents such as contracts, invoices, and reports. Ninox connects with Zapier, Make, and n8n and offers a public REST API. Its indefinitely available free plan costs nothing and supports up to five users, with 100 MB storage and up to 5,000 records. Team costs €25 a month billed annually, and Business costs €40 a month billed annually; prices exclude VAT. Ninox says it is ISO 27001 certified and GDPR compliant, hosted on AWS servers in Germany, with data encrypted at rest and in transit. It runs in a modern browser on desktop, tablet, or mobile; native iOS and Android apps are in development.
