In their own words
GoldFynch
GoldFynch is a cloud-based eDiscovery service for managing and reviewing legal case data. It automatically processes uploaded files, including OCR to make scanned text searchable. Users can search documents, emails, and images, refine results with metadata, and combine terms using Boolean operators such as AND, OR, and NOT. Reviews, redactions, and productions can be handled in the browser, with no extra production charge. Supported files and archives include PDF, PST, MBOX, MSG, EML, Office documents, TIFF, JPEG, ZIP, and RAR. Cases can be shared with unlimited users at no additional user fee, with roles and permissions controlling access. The free case allows one case per new account, up to 512 MB stored and 1 GB processed, and expires after 90 days; productions carry a GoldFynch watermark. Paid cases start with the 3 GB case at $27 a month, billed monthly and prorated, with unlimited users, productions, and processing. GoldFynch runs on the vendor cloud and is available on the web. Founded in 2016, it is a Mazira product based in Iowa City, Iowa.
RedactLaw
RedactLaw is an AI-powered document redaction platform made for law firms. It detects personal information and HIPAA identifiers, applies context-aware recognition, and assigns confidence scores to help users review proposed redactions. Reviewers can compare a detection with the original, approve or reject items individually, or handle flagged items in bulk. The product says it removes underlying data permanently and clears metadata and hidden layers from redacted files. It accepts PDF, DOCX, XLSX, JPEG, PNG, and TIFF files, including scanned documents through OCR, and produces redacted PDFs. Templates cover medical records, court filings, FOIA responses, financial discovery, employment records, and immigration files. Redaction decisions, users, and timestamps appear in an audit trail, with PDF and CSV exports. RedactLaw is available on the web, by API, and as self-hosted software. The free plan allows five documents a month, up to ten pages each, for one user; paid plans start at $39 a month.
