Google Keyword Planner
Google Keyword Planner is a free keyword research tool for Search campaigns, available on the web and through an API. It suggests terms related to a business, service, product, or website, and can also accept an uploaded CSV of existing keywords. For each term, it provides estimated monthly search volume and the average cost for an ad to appear. A planning forecast projects clicks, impressions, or conversions from a proposed spend; forecasts refresh daily using the previous 7–10 days of data with seasonal adjustments. Ideas can be filtered, categorized, and arranged into ad groups, although ad-group organization is available only in English. Plans and forecasts can be downloaded or shared by enabling access. Basic keyword suggestions require a completed Google Ads account setup and billing information. Very low-volume or sensitive-category keywords may lack ideas or forecasts, and each new keyword is limited to 80 characters and 10 words.
MarinOne
MarinOne is a SaaS platform for managing and optimizing search, social, and eCommerce advertising across publishers. Its customizable dashboards bring channel performance data together for cross-channel reporting, campaign management, and ROI optimization. Marin Bidding supports spend, efficiency, volume, engagement, and awareness objectives. Budget tools cover planning, forecasts, pacing, dynamic allocation, and bid recommendations; automation includes rules, alerts, workflows, and automated bidding. BI Connect can link reporting to tools such as Tableau and Google Data Studio, and a reporting-only REST API supports connections to client tools or reporting databases. A Google Sheets extension lets users select Marin data from within Sheets. Connect costs $500 a month and includes five data sources, 90 days of backfill, and 24 months of retention. Ascend costs $1,000 a month and One costs $2,000 a month; both list unlimited sources and 365 days of backfill. Marin advertises a 30-day free trial, but there is no free plan. In April 2025, Marin said its board had approved a dissolution and liquidation plan, subject to stockholder approval.
