In their own words
HeadlessForms
HeadlessForms is a cloud backend for receiving online form submissions in real time, without code or external dependencies. It can serve websites built with WordPress, Netlify, Vercel, GitHub Pages, or other static-site tools. Its Form Builder creates single- or multi-step forms for hosting on HeadlessForms or exporting as HTML; Hosted Form also offers a public collection link for people without a website. The service sends customized notifications and automatic responder emails, validates submissions server-side, and uses machine-learning spam filtering and honeypot fields. Integrations include Webhook and Zapier, and the API supports posting, validating, and reading submissions, as well as working with frontend frameworks. The Free plan includes one team member, one form, and 25 submissions per month. Pricing is listed as free, with paid plans from $3.75/mo (annual). HeadlessForms is available through web and API, and its GDPR page says data is stored on EU servers.
SurveyJS
SurveyJS is a set of JavaScript components for building surveys, quizzes, polls, and web forms, then storing responses and displaying results. Its free, open-source Form Library renders JSON-based forms in React, Angular, Vue, and plain JavaScript applications. It supports more than 20 question types, conditional logic, validation, multilingual forms, and right-to-left languages. Survey Creator provides a drag-and-drop designer that generates JSON schemas. Dashboard displays results through interactive charts, tables, word clouds, and aggregated statistics; PDF Generator creates editable PDF forms and exports submissions. The libraries run in a customer’s application and can connect to any backend or database. SurveyJS says it does not access, process, or store survey data; customers choose and manage their own data storage and protections. React, Angular, and Vue have native support, while jQuery uses a wrapper over the Vanilla JavaScript version. The Form Library is free, but Survey Creator, Dashboard, and PDF Generator require commercial licenses for production use. Commercial developer licenses are required for each developer working with those product APIs or implementing integrations.
