MCL Medics EAP is an employer-funded employee assistance programme for organisations in policing, local government, higher education and the private sector. It supports employees with personal or work-related problems that may affect attendance or performance. Confidential help is available 24 hours a day, every day, through a phone helpline, app, video chat and onsite crisis response. Structured counselling addresses anxiety, depression, stress, bereavement and relationship difficulties. Clinical triage is offered within two working days, with therapy typically beginning within seven days. The programme also provides legal information, financial and debt-management guidance, budgeting help and creditor-negotiation guidance. Managers receive a separate round-the-clock line for difficult conversations, team conflicts and return-to-work planning. Workplace incident response and trauma counselling include EMDR and trauma-focused CBT. The EAP shares clinical governance and referral pathways with MCL Medics’ occupational health services. Individual use is not disclosed to employers; reporting is anonymised and aggregated. Pricing is on request, billed per employee per annum, and scaled to workforce size.
