| Security | LiveSession says data is encrypted in transit using 256-bit encryption and at rest with AES-256. | Mouseflow says its data centers are ISO 27001 and SOC 1 Type II certified, with PCI DSS compliance, and its US data center meets HIPAA standards. |
| Session replay | Session replays show user interactions such as mouse movements, clicks, and scrolling. | The platform recreates individual visitor sessions in video-style playback, including clicks, scrolling and other interactions. |
| Usage limit | After the plan session quota is reached, sessions above the limit are not recorded. | When an account runs out of its plan's monthly sessions, tracking stops until the next refill unless the customer requests a refill or upgrades. |

In their own words
LiveSession
LiveSession combines product analytics and session replay to help businesses understand user behavior. Its dashboards, conversion funnels, metrics, and custom events measure product activity; recordings show interactions such as clicks, scrolling, and mouse movement. Heatmaps, clickmaps, rage clicks, and error clicks provide other views of engagement, while console and network logs offer debugging context. The service runs on the web and through an API, and website installation requires adding JavaScript tracking code. It supports mobile browser pages and WebView applications, but not native mobile apps. Listed integrations include Intercom, LiveChat, Zendesk, Zapier, Slack, Shopify, Segment, Sentry, Mixpanel, Heap, and Bugsnag. A free plan includes 1,000 sessions per month, one month of retention, three team members, and two websites or projects. Paid plans start at $54/mo (annual), and a 14-day trial is available. Sessions beyond a plan quota are not recorded; recordings are deleted after the plan's retention period, which varies from one to 12 months.
Mouseflow
Mouseflow records website visitor behavior, tracking clicks, mouse movement, scrolls, forms, and page content. Its platform includes session replay, heatmaps, friction detection, conversion funnels, journey analytics, form analytics, and feedback surveys. Mouseflow says it records all sessions without sampling, and includes rage-click detection and mobile capture. Ask Mina lets users ask questions about behavioral data, while Mina Insights surfaces patterns and friction. Integrations listed include Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, AB Tasty, Shopify, and Google Ads. Setup can use a JavaScript snippet before the closing body tag, with plugins and integrations also available. Mouseflow says its data centers are ISO 27001 and SOC 1 Type II certified, with PCI DSS compliance, and that its US data center meets HIPAA standards. It says IP addresses are masked automatically and EU customer data is stored in the EU. The free plan includes 500 sessions per month; paid plans include stated session and retention limits. When a monthly session allowance runs out, tracking stops until refill or upgrade.
