In their own words
Lixir
Lixir is a web-based, voice-driven AI interviewer for software engineers practicing coding interviews in a live editor. It follows code as it is written, asks follow-up questions, and can nudge users who are stuck. Practice modes include silent proctor, guided, and pair partner. Code can run in JavaScript and TypeScript, while problems can be discussed in Python, Java, or Go. Users can provide a job description, practice from a resume, and use role-specific coaching. Post-session reports assess coding, problem solving, communication, and collaboration, with session evidence and next steps; feedback also covers overall assessment, competency breakdowns, strengths, and improvement areas. The Free plan costs nothing and includes one practice interview, three coding challenges, real-time coaching, reports after each session, and permanent report and profile retention. Pro costs $20 a month with unlimited interviews and challenges, scored reports, and resume-based personalization.
RoundAlpha
RoundAlpha is a web-based AI mock interview platform for job seekers. It builds live voice interviews around a candidate’s CV, and users can add a target company and job description to tailor questions to a role. The interviewer responds in real time, asks follow-ups, and keeps the session to time. Full interviews include a coding exercise plus either a system design task or another coding exercise. Reports score five skills out of ten and provide a verdict and reason for each question, along with a concrete improvement suggestion. The free plan gives one five-minute quick round with no card needed. Starter costs $10 a month for three full interviews; Pro costs $20 a month for seven. Unused monthly interviews expire at month end. Hiring teams can invite applicants by link and receive scored reports with transcripts; approved hiring accounts are currently free while companies are onboarded individually. RoundAlpha says it does not use CVs, voice, transcripts, or reports to train AI models. Users can view, export, and delete their CVs, sessions, and reports.
