Overview

The maker starts with AI-generated designs or templates, then lets you adjust colors, fonts, icons, and layout. It offers 50 logo concepts, and the resulting files can be used commercially across websites, social profiles, and documents. PNG, SVG, and JPG formats, transparent export, vector export, and a brand kit cover common needs for putting a logo to work.

Wixel extends the logo into a broader design workflow: it can generate a brand theme from a logo for use in other Wixel designs, and includes an AI tagline generator. You can upload downloaded files to Wix and save them in Media Manager for a Wix website. That is a practical fit for Wix site owners, though Wixel requires a Wix account. The older Wix Logo Maker remains available, with limited AI support and fewer assets than Wixel.

Key features

Logo creation and exports

Editable concepts are more useful than a fixed generated mark when a business needs to tune its identity. Vector and transparent files can serve different layouts and backgrounds; Wixel says high-resolution PNG and SVG downloads are free. That does not apply uniformly across the older maker: its Basic plan includes PNG, while SVG is included with Advanced and certain higher plans. Confirm which maker you are using before choosing a plan based on vector access.

Branding beyond the logo

A logo-derived brand theme can carry visual choices into other Wixel designs, making the platform more compelling for someone creating multiple kinds of branded materials than for someone who only needs one mark. Wixel’s mobile app is available on iOS and Android, with projects kept in sync across devices. AI actions consume credits, so the convenience of generating and adapting more assets has a quota cost.

Account, support, and security

Wixel requires a Wix account. It lists an AI customer care assistant and support tickets among platform inclusions. Wix states that its website security certificates include PCI DSS Level 1, SOC 2 Type 2, and several ISO certifications, and that it complies with GDPR, CCPA, and LGPD.

Pricing

The free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and includes 120 AI credits per month, capped at 30 per day, with up to 20 logos estimated. That is enough room to explore the maker, but the daily ceiling can slow concentrated experimentation, and AI actions use credits.

Plan	Price	Included work limits and extras
Basic	90.00 USD per year, billed per year	350 AI credits per month; up to 50 logos, 40 images, 10 videos, 40 docs, and 3 presentations (estimates)
Pro	290.00 USD per year, billed per year	850 AI credits per month; up to 180 logos, 140 images, 35 videos, 130 docs, and 7 presentations (estimates); Wix Light plan and free domain for 1 year
Max	590.00 USD per year, billed per year	2,000 AI credits per month; up to 440 logos, 330 images, 80 videos, 280 docs, and 15 presentations (estimates); Wix Light plan and free domain for 1 year

Basic is the paid step for users who need more credits and room for other Wixel projects, but it does not include the Wix Light plan and free domain listed with Pro and Max. Pro or Max make more sense when those website extras and larger cross-format quotas matter; Max has the highest monthly credit allowance and estimated output counts. The logo counts are estimates, not guaranteed deliverables. The plan prices are annual, so compare the yearly commitment with the amount of creation work you actually expect.

Platforms

Wix Logo Maker is available on web, Android, and iOS. Wixel says its app keeps projects in sync across devices, which helps users move between desktop and mobile work.

Who it's for

Choose Wix Logo Maker if you want editable AI or template-based logo concepts, commercial-use files, and the option to extend the identity through Wixel’s brand themes. It is especially suited to Wix customers who want to put downloaded artwork into Media Manager. It is less suitable if you only need a logo and do not want a Wix account, or if your process depends on unrestricted AI use. Anyone selecting the legacy maker should verify its plan-specific file access, particularly for SVG.

Pros and cons

Pros: AI and template starting points can both be customized across color, font, icon, and layout.
Pros: PNG, SVG, JPG, transparent and vector export, plus commercial use, cover varied publishing needs.
Pros: Brand themes, an AI tagline generator, and project sync across mobile and web extend the work beyond a single logo.
Cons: Wixel requires a Wix account, limiting its appeal to people who want a fully separate workflow.
Cons: Free AI use is limited to 120 credits monthly and 30 daily; paid use also has monthly credit quotas.
Cons: Legacy Basic includes PNG but not the SVG access included with Advanced and certain higher plans, so the maker version matters.

Alternatives

Browse AI Logo Makers or Logo Design Software if you want to compare the category before settling on a tool. The AI Vector Generators list is relevant when vector generation is the priority. For site-building needs beyond logos, compare Nonprofit Website Builders, Dental Website Builders, or Law Firm Website Builders.

Zoviz is worth considering if you want a paid logo platform with a free trial and listed monthly plans starting at 29.00 USD per month.
Design.com is an option if free vector formats and commercial-use rights are central: its free plan includes EPS, SVG, and PDF alongside PNG and JPG downloads.
LOGO.com may suit a simpler free workflow if one PNG logo and 100 MB media storage are enough.
BrandCrowd Logo Maker is an alternative if you want selected free logos and editing, with a 9.00 USD per month Starter plan for unlimited edits and high-resolution and vector downloads.
Logo Diffusion may fit users who want to try a free AI-logo workflow, though its free tier is limited to 24 credits monthly, about 12 logos, watermarked 512x512 downloads, and no commercial rights.
SologoAI is another freemium option; its free plan provides 10 Sologo credits one time for new accounts, while name-to-logo and brand kit generation use no credits.
Tailor Brands is an alternative if a free low-resolution logo is sufficient and you are prepared to pay for high-resolution vector files.
Elaa may suit users who value free production-file downloads and unlimited edits, with limited AI design credits.

Verdict

Wix Logo Maker is a strong fit for Wix-connected businesses that want customizable logo concepts, practical file formats, and a route to reuse their branding across Wixel designs. Its main trade-off is that AI creation runs on capped credits, while legacy-maker SVG access depends on plan. Choose it for the broader Wix workflow; look elsewhere if you need a standalone account or a logo-only service without those constraints.
