In their own words
MenuSense
MenuSense is an AI menu engineering platform for restaurant operators who want to assess menu profitability and performance. Its matrix classifies items as Stars, Plow Horses, Puzzles, or Dogs according to popularity and profitability. Cost validation checks ingredient costs against market data and suggests pricing, while AI can create menu descriptions, generate items, and translate menus into more than 100 languages. Restaurants can publish QR code menus with AI chat for ingredient and allergen questions; customers need no app download to access them. The platform tracks daily sales, margins, and menu performance, and offers reports with optimization recommendations. Menu management includes ingredient and recipe tracking, allergen management, and CSV or Excel import and export. The free plan is free and includes five AI credits monthly, up to 20 menu items, and one restaurant. Basic costs $3.99 a month, billed $47.88 / year; Professional costs $5.99 a month, billed $71.88 / year; Enterprise costs $19.99 a month, billed $239.88 / year. Credits do not roll over.
Qvian
Qvian is connected business-management software for restaurants, hotels, retailers, dive centres, professional-service businesses, and non-profit organisations. Its restaurant tools carry orders from seating or QR menus through kitchen preparation and bill settlement. Staff can take orders with modifiers and covers, while the kitchen display shows tickets, dishes, and elapsed preparation time. Recipes connect menu items to ingredient costs; when a dish sells, its ingredients are deducted from stock and food cost is shown against menu price. Dine-in, takeaway, and delivery orders share a kitchen flow and stock. Diners can order by scanning a table QR code or use the Consumer App to browse, order, pay, and track orders live. Qvian also lists profitability analysis, item performance reports, menu pricing analysis, and placement analysis. Its QuickBooks Online integration sends accounting entries in one direction. The Public Booking API connects availability, services, and bookings to external websites or applications. Restaurant/Cafe pricing is 2,500 MVR a month per location, with unlimited users included; new organisations start with a trial, and monthly billing can be cancelled anytime.
