Overview

A split planning view puts a task list beside the day’s time slots, so scheduling is a matter of dragging work into position. Calendar synchronization keeps those blocks alongside existing appointments, and focus sessions provide a way to reserve uninterrupted periods. This is a coherent workflow for calendar-led planning, rather than a general-purpose task inbox.

Labels retain their selected colors automatically, making recurring categories easier to scan. Schedule templates preserve routines, while rollover moves unfinished tasks into open slots. That combination reduces re-planning for predictable days, but it cannot resolve a genuinely overfull schedule or decide which unfinished item deserves precedence.

Key features

Time blocking: Drag tasks into time slots in the split view. Choose it when assigning a time matters as much as recording the task; it is unnecessary overhead for list-only workflows.
Calendar sync and focus sessions: Existing events can inform the plan, with dedicated focus periods for concentrated work. This makes the app better suited to people balancing appointments and planned effort.
Templates and rollover: Save repeatable schedules and transfer incomplete work into available time. Useful for routines and changing days, though available capacity remains the constraint.
Optional connections: Google Tasks, Todoist, TickTick, Zapier, and device calendars can be connected. These options help consolidate an existing task stack, but they are not required for the core planner.
AI Assistant: The optional assistant can help schedule, organize tasks, and answer productivity questions. Data is sent to an AI provider only after the user enables the feature and submits a request.
Privacy and control: The maker says personal data is not sold or shared for marketing, analytics can be disabled, and content in Google Cloud Firestore and Storage is encrypted in transit and at rest. In-app export is available at any time.

Pricing

TimeFinder has a freemium structure. The Free plan is free and provides core features, making it the sensible starting point for evaluating the time-blocking workflow. A separate Free tier also is free, with core features but limited functionality without an account; that restriction matters if you want to explore before registering.

Premium Lifetime is shown as custom pricing, while the US App Store lists TimeFinder Premium Lifetime at 119.99 USD per once. It includes premium features and lasts for the lifetime of the product, so it is aimed at committed individual users who prefer a single purchase over recurring billing. A free 7-day trial is offered through the US App Store; its duration and conditions are displayed before starting. The terms describe the product for personal productivity use, not team deployment.

Platforms

TimeFinder runs on Android, iOS, macOS, the web, and Windows. Both major mobile platforms are covered, and the web and desktop options make it practical to move between devices. Calendar and task integrations extend that cross-device planning model.

Who it's for

Choose TimeFinder if your day is built around appointments, time-boxed work, and repeatable routines, especially when unfinished tasks often need to be moved rather than discarded. The free plan and seven-day trial lower the cost of trying that method.

It is a weaker fit for teams, since its stated purpose is personal productivity, or for users who want an unstructured task manager without calendar placement. The lifetime purchase also makes less sense if you are still unsure that time blocking will become a daily habit.

Pros and cons

Pros

Calendar-aware scheduling: Tasks, appointments, and focus periods can occupy one planned day.
Good support for recurring routines: Templates and automatic label colors reduce repetitive setup and improve visual scanning.
Practical recovery from slippage: Rollover keeps unfinished work visible and seeks open capacity instead of losing it.
Broad device coverage: Android, iOS, web, macOS, and Windows support suit multi-device users.
User-controlled data choices: Export, analytics opt-out, encryption, and opt-in AI sharing provide meaningful controls.

Cons

Personal-use positioning: It is not presented as a team or collaborative planning system.
Rollover is capacity-dependent: A crowded day still requires manual prioritization.
Account friction on the free tier: The limited, no-account experience is less useful for extended evaluation.
Premium cost commitment: The 119.99 USD lifetime purchase favors long-term adopters, not casual experimentation.

Griply suits users who prioritize goals, habits, projects, and smart lists, with a 2.49 USD monthly Premium plan.
Tiimo is preferable for selected planning tools on iOS and Android when a web app is not required.

Amazing Marvin fits users seeking a paid system with more than 100 features and unlimited tasks and projects, at 8.00 USD per month.

Sunsama is for users who need unlimited integrations and AI, with Pro at 17.00 USD per year and no free plan.

Verdict

TimeFinder is a strong choice for an individual who wants a calendar-shaped workday, reusable routines, and a dependable way to reschedule unfinished tasks across devices. Its main reason to choose it is the focused combination of time blocking, sync, templates, and rollover. Look elsewhere if you need collaboration, a conventional task list, or a lower-commitment premium model than the 119.99 USD lifetime purchase.
