Shoeboxed
Shoeboxed organizes receipt and mileage records for tax and expense work. It accepts receipt photos, email forwards, digital uploads, and paper receipts sent in a postage-paid Magic Envelope. Its phone app reads receipt text with OCR, categorizes expenses, and uploads them to an account; the mobile app can log business trips by GPS in the background and send a daily summary for confirmation. Receipts and business miles can be kept as exportable IRS-ready digital records. Shoeboxed lists integrations including QuickBooks, Xero, Evernote, WorkingPoint, and Wave, among others. Its API can read and add receipts, categories, and account data, while its CLI can list receipts, total category spending, retrieve mileage write-offs, and export a tax packet.
