Overview

Odoo CRM is built around a sales pipeline rather than a standalone contact list. Teams can capture prospects from several channels, score leads, automate routine work and analyze sales activity. That combination suits businesses looking to organize a repeatable sales process, particularly if they also want access to Odoo apps for areas such as accounting, inventory, ecommerce or project management.

Odoo is open source and offers cloud, mobile and self-hosted options. The breadth is an advantage for organizations seeking room to build around a common suite, but the free offer covers only one app. Buyers who need multiple business functions should weigh the paid plans and any excluded implementation or custom-code costs.

Key features

Pipeline and lead scoring: A Kanban board lets users move opportunities between stages by dragging them. Predictive scoring uses criteria including past performance to estimate a lead’s chance of success, helping teams prioritize follow-up rather than treat every prospect alike.
Lead capture and automation: Leads can enter from email, VoIP calls, social media reactions, website visitors, event attendees and support tickets. Automation can create leads, assign teams and schedule activities, which can reduce routine coordination across those sources.
Communication and calendar: Email, live chat, SMS and VoIP are integrated channels. Odoo Calendar can synchronize with Google Calendar and Outlook, and opportunity records can be used to create meetings. The Outlook add-in, for desktop and web Outlook, can create an opportunity from an email panel.
Reporting: Opportunity and lead analysis, cohort analysis, dashboards and sales KPI reporting give teams several ways to review pipeline activity and performance.
Security and privacy: Odoo says Cloud data is encrypted in transit with HTTPS and at rest with AES-256, and that it participates in the CSA STAR Program at Level 1. Odoo also states that Odoo SA and its subsidiaries are GDPR compliant, with Odoo Cloud acting as a data processor for hosted customer databases.

Pricing

Odoo’s freemium model starts with One App Free at Free. It includes one app, unlimited users and Odoo Online. This is a practical way to start with CRM or another single app, but it will not cover a team that needs CRM alongside other Odoo apps.

Standard costs 24.90 USD per month (billed Yearly); the pricing page also shows US$ 31.10 / user / month. It includes all apps on Odoo Online, with unlimited support, hosting and maintenance. This is the relevant step up for organizations that want the full suite on Odoo’s online service without the deployment options reserved for Custom.

Custom costs 49.00 USD per month (billed Yearly); the page also shows US$ 61.00 / user / month. It includes all apps on Odoo Online, Odoo.sh or on-premise, plus Studio, Agentic AI, multi-company support and external API access. This plan suits organizations that need those capabilities or a choice of deployment. Odoo.sh hosting costs extra.

All plans include unlimited email support Monday to Friday, 24/5, in English, French, Spanish or Dutch. Plan fees exclude Odoo.sh hosting for custom developments, implementation services, in-app purchase credits and maintenance of custom code, so the subscription is not the whole cost for organizations needing those services.

Platforms

Odoo supports web access, Android and iOS apps, and self-hosting. Downloads are offered for Windows, Ubuntu/Debian and RPM. Custom includes external API access, while the stated plan information does not include that feature in Standard or One App Free.

Who it's for

Odoo CRM suits businesses that want pipeline management, lead prioritization and sales reporting within a broader business suite. It is especially compelling when the one-app free scope is enough to begin and there is a realistic need for other Odoo apps later. A buyer seeking only a CRM, or one that needs multiple apps without paying for an all-app plan, should look elsewhere.

Pros and cons

Pro: One App Free includes unlimited users, making it a low-cost starting point for a team that can operate within one app.
Pro: Lead capture across email, calls, social reactions, web visits, events and support tickets, combined with scoring and automation, supports a more structured prospect process.
Pro: Cloud, mobile and self-hosted options, with external API access on Custom, accommodate different deployment and integration needs.
Con: The free plan is limited to one app, so teams that need Odoo’s broader suite must move to a paid plan.
Con: Custom adds an annual-billed subscription and Odoo.sh hosting costs extra; implementation services and custom-code maintenance are also excluded from plan fees.

Verdict

Choose Odoo CRM if you want a capable sales pipeline inside a broader suite and value the option to start with one free app before adopting more. Its strongest reason to buy is the combination of lead capture, scoring, automation and reporting with flexible deployment options. Look elsewhere if one app is too narrow and the added subscription, hosting or implementation costs do not fit your needs.
