Overview

PushPress brings gym administration, class operations, member tools, and marketing into one system for independent fitness businesses. It suits gyms and studios that want to manage more than bookings, especially those weighing a no-monthly-fee entry point against lower processing rates on paid plans.

Its breadth is a strength for operators consolidating everyday work, but the right plan depends on both the tools a business needs and the payment volume it runs through the platform.

Key features

Scheduling and member operations

Recurring class templates, capacity management, waitlists, coach substitutions, and automated handling of no-shows and late cancellations address the practical demands of a changing class schedule. Online booking, member management, automated billing, and digital waivers extend PushPress beyond a calendar. This combination is most useful to gyms that want scheduling tied to membership and payment operations rather than handled as a separate tool.

Marketing, integrations, and access

PushPress Grow provides lead capture forms and landing pages, automated email and text messaging, social integrations, WhatsApp messaging, and member-engagement workflows. That makes it a meaningful extension for studios that need ongoing lead and member outreach, though its $329.00 USD per month price is a large commitment beside the core plans.

Integrations include Stripe, Zapier, Slack, Mailchimp, Google Analytics, Google Calendar, Facebook Ads, HybridAF, and Kisi. HybridAF and Kisi can tie gym door access permissions to membership status, a practical link between billing or membership standing and entry. PushPress also says its onboarding team imports member and business data from other gym platforms and provides white-glove migration support.

Pricing

The Free plan costs 0.00 USD per free, with no monthly fees. It includes unlimited leads, admins, members, and staff, but charges 4.99% + .30 CC and 2.89% + .30 ACH. That removes a recurring software bill, but the higher payment rates can be costly for a gym processing substantial revenue.

Pro costs 159.00 USD per month and includes unlimited leads, admins, members, and staff, with processing at 2.89% + .30 CC and 0.79% + .30 ACH. It is the core paid option for a gym that can justify a monthly fee in exchange for lower listed rates. Max costs 229.00 USD per month, keeps the same unlimited quantities, and lowers card processing to 2.75% + .30 CC while retaining 0.79% + .30 ACH. The difference is most relevant to businesses with enough card volume to value that lower rate.

Separate plans cover additional needs: Train is 79.00 USD per month for workout tracking for up to 20 clients; Grow is 329.00 USD per month for a full CRM with automated workflows, email/SMS, and websites; and Branded App is 8197.00 USD per month for a white-labeled mobile app. Full Stack costs 559.00 USD per month and combines all features into one package. Train's 20-client ceiling makes it a narrower fit, while Grow and Full Stack target operators prepared to pay substantially more for broader capabilities. Pro and Max include AI support, live human responses, and optional video support calls; Free support includes self-serve resources and AI support, with a 48-hour response time for human assistance.

Platforms

The Member App runs on iOS, Android, and the web. The Control Panel is web-based and supports desktop, laptop, and mobile browsers. That gives members mobile access while keeping staff administration available through a browser rather than a separate listed desktop app.

Who it's for

PushPress is aimed at small, mid-size, and established gyms and studios, including independent CrossFit gyms, martial arts schools, strength gyms, and boutique studios. It is a strong candidate for operators who want scheduling, billing, member administration, and optional marketing under one roof. A business primarily seeking workout tracking for a limited client group may find Train more relevant; a gym choosing the free tier should compare its processing costs against the monthly plans before committing.

Pros and cons

Broad operational coverage: scheduling, booking, billing, member management, and digital waivers can support core gym workflows in one system.
Flexible class controls: waitlists, capacity management, coach substitutions, and no-show or late-cancel automation address common schedule-management needs.
Free entry point with unlimited core quantities: Free has no monthly fee and no stated caps on leads, admins, members, or staff, but its processing rates are markedly higher than Pro and Max.
Costs rise quickly for expansion: Grow, Full Stack, and especially Branded App carry much higher monthly prices than the core gym tiers.
Free support is slower for human help: human assistance has a 48-hour response time, unlike the live human responses included with Pro and Max.

Alternatives

Clubworx is worth comparing if a gym wants a free plan capped at 20 active members that also includes a website, online booking, payments, email and SMS, and a self-check-in kiosk; it also offers a free trial.

WellnessLiving suits a reader comparing a paid starting tier at 62.00 USD per month billed annually, with one staff member and booking for classes and appointments; it offers a free plan and trial as well.

Momence is an option for businesses willing to request a tailored quote rather than choose a published fixed price; it offers a free trial.

OpenMat is a fit for a gym seeking operations without a monthly subscription fee and willing to pay transaction fees on eligible online payments.

Gymdesk is a paid alternative with a free trial and a 75.00 USD per month plan for up to 50 members, making its member ceiling explicit for smaller gyms.

Platsana is a paid alternative with a free trial and separately priced options such as 10.00 USD per month for Schedule API Access and 40.00 USD per month per location for Extra Locations.

ScheduleBliss is worth considering when a studio wants a 39.00 USD per month plan with unlimited members, staff, products, programs, rooms, and resources.

GymMaster is another paid option, with a Foundation plan at 89.00 USD per month for 100 current members and an Advanced plan at 129.00 USD per month.

Verdict

Choose PushPress if your gym needs connected scheduling, member administration, billing, and room to add marketing or workout tools as the business grows. Its free plan removes the monthly software charge, while Pro and Max offer lower listed processing rates; the key reason to look elsewhere is that those rates and monthly fees require careful comparison against your transaction volume, and expanded plans can become expensive.
