Overview

Ragic combines a spreadsheet-like interface with relational data, an app interface builder and workflow automation. The maker says customers use it for needs ranging from contact management to complete ERP systems, a broad range that makes it worth considering when a fixed-purpose app does not fit. That flexibility also means teams should choose it because they need to build around their own process, not simply because they want a ready-made tool.

Ragic, Inc. was founded in 2008 and is headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan. The product can be hosted in the cloud or on a customer's own server. Its AI builder can create databases from natural-language descriptions and generate records from uploaded files, while full-text search, filters and role-based permissions help manage and find data as systems grow.

Key features

Reports, integrations and mobile access

Reports include Gantt charts, pivot tables, calendars and ranking reports, giving teams several ways to view or summarize their data without relying only on spreadsheet-style lists. Integrations through Zapier, IFTTT and Make, plus API documentation and JavaScript workflows, offer options for connecting Ragic to other services or extending its behavior. These tools will matter most to teams with reporting and integration needs; they are less compelling if a basic database is all that is required.

The Android and iOS apps support cloud-synced editing and offline access to saved data. That is useful for staff who need records away from a desk, though the offline capability is specifically for data saved to the device.

Security and deployment

Ragic states that it is certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and follows GDPR. Its security page describes SSL and disk encryption, audit logs, regular backups and daily full server backups. It also says its AWS and GCP hosting providers meet HIPAA standards, with business associate agreements available when needed. Self-hosting gives customers another deployment option, but the security and compliance claims should not be read as a substitute for checking whether a particular setup meets an organization's obligations.

Pricing

The Free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and includes 3 custom sheets, 1,000 records per custom sheet, unlimited users and 10 GB upload storage. It is a sensible starting point for a small shared database, but the record and sheet ceilings are restrictive for sustained operational use. The pricing page also offers a 30-day trial of all features of the selected version, with no user limit during the trial.

Lite costs 5.00 USD per month and includes 5 custom sheets, unlimited records and 10 GB upload storage per user. It removes the free plan's record cap, but its sheet limit still suits focused systems better than a growing collection of databases. Professional costs 19.00 USD per month and provides unlimited custom sheets and records, with 30 GB upload storage per user; this is the more suitable per-user option for teams building several connected systems.

The Concurrent users plan costs 499.00 USD per month, billed for 10 concurrent users, and includes unlimited users, 10 concurrent users and 100 GB storage per concurrent user. It may fit organizations whose total user count is larger than the number expected to be signed in at once. Enterprise costs 550.00 USD per month, is billed annually and requires a minimum of 10 users; it includes 10 concurrent users by default and 100 GB storage per user. Enterprise concurrent user costs 1399.00 USD per month, billed for 10 concurrent users, and includes unlimited users and 100 GB storage per concurrent user. These higher-cost tiers are aimed at larger deployments; the Enterprise option has an explicit annual billing term and minimum seat count, while the concurrent-user tiers center on simultaneous logins.

Platforms

Ragic supports web, Android and iOS access, provides an API, and can be self-hosted. That mix serves browser-based teams, mobile users and organizations that need control over deployment or programmatic integration.

Who it's for

Ragic is a strong fit for teams that need custom business databases, related records, permissions and reporting, and have a reason to tailor a system rather than adopt a fixed application. Its mobile apps and automation options also suit work that spans office and field use. It is a weaker fit for buyers who want a narrow, ready-made tool or whose needs fit within a small fixed set of records and forms.

Pros and cons

Flexible database building: relational data, an app interface builder and workflow automation support custom systems without code.
Useful range of reports: Gantt charts, pivot tables, calendars and ranking reports cover several common ways to examine business data.
Multiple deployment and access options: web, mobile apps, API access and self-hosting accommodate different working environments.
Free plan has tight growth limits: three custom sheets and 1,000 records per sheet can constrain a database as its use expands.
Paid plans have meaningful tier differences: Lite remains capped at five custom sheets, while the 19.00 USD per month Professional plan is the first listed option with unlimited sheets.

Alternatives

FlutterFlow is worth considering when the priority is building apps across Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, web and Windows; its free tier is limited to two projects and includes 10 Lite credits, five lifetime AI requests and up to two API endpoints. Saltcorn is a better candidate for readers seeking a free, MIT-licensed self-hosted platform with no per-seat fee. Ninox may suit smaller teams that can work within its free plan's five users, 100 MB of storage and 5,000 records.

Retool is another freemium option with a free plan and a Team plan priced at 10.00 USD per month. UI Bakery offers a free tier billed per developer, while Adalo is an option for Android, iOS and web app building, with a free plan limited to 500 records per app. Bubble has a free Web + Mobile plan with 50K workload units per month. MIT App Inventor is a free educational platform for building Android and iOS apps.

Verdict

Choose Ragic if your team needs a customizable business database with reporting, permissions, automation and a choice of cloud or self-hosted deployment. Its broad building blocks are the main reason to pick it; the free tier's small sheet and record limits, and the jump to higher-cost plans for unlimited custom sheets, are the main reasons to look elsewhere.
