Open Social is a community collaboration platform for organizations connecting and working across their communities. Its suite has six products: Community Management System, Cloud Platform, Gaia AI, Engagement Studio, Connection Hub and Lumina Insights. The Community Management System supports custom roles, permissions and organizational arrangements, including complex, multi-layered structures. Gaia AI assists with workflows, content moderation and advanced search. Connection Hub connects with external systems such as Salesforce and Snowflake, and supports GraphQL, webhooks, Kafka and no-code Zapier connections. An optional Document Collaboration Suite enables real-time co-editing of documents, spreadsheets, presentations and drawings in formats including docx, xlsx, pptx, odf and visio. A branded native app for iOS and Android is also available as an add-on, with push notifications. The core Community Management System is free in the Drupal community; its SaaS subscription adds hosting, other products and professional services. SaaS customers can receive enterprise services, and an on-premise hosting option is described for organizations with infrastructure requirements. The maker identifies Amsterdam as its base and says it is ISO 27001 certified.

PeepSo is a social networking plugin for WordPress that provides tools for building online communities. Its free Foundation includes an activity stream with nested comments, groups, friends, member profiles, and media embeds, along with the Block and Gecko themes. The product also lists event hosting, private spaces, custom domains, and mobile apps. Community costs $149 a year for one year of updates and can be canceled at any time; it adds white labeling, real-time chat, photos, albums, file uploads, pages, email digests, user limits, social login, and invitations. Ultimate costs $249 a year and includes Community features plus all PeepSo plugins and integrations, Stories, early access, and 24/7 priority support. The Foundation includes GIPHY, polls, followers, and WordFilter. Open groups can allow nonmembers to react to or comment on posts. Video uploads offer no conversion, on-site ffmpeg conversion, or off-site Amazon Transcoder; only one mode can be active. The no-conversion option officially supports MP4 and does not compress uploads. PeepSo describes integrations with LearnDash, Advanced Ads, WPAdverts, and WooCommerce.
