In their own words

OpenComp

OpenComp is compensation decision software for setting pay and managing compensation workflows. It brings together salary, bonus and equity market information for roles across an organization with company pay data synced regularly from HRIS, equity management and payroll systems. Benchmarking can compare pay plans with OpenComp data or a third-party source; its matching process normalizes, levels and matches employee data for comparable benchmarks. The platform includes salary review and approval workflows, budget controls, compensation bands and an audit trail. Headcount models estimate future cash burn and dilution using staffing needs, pay strategy and industry benchmarks. Total Rewards Statements can show employees salary, bonuses, equity and merit increases in a visual report. OpenComp lists Comp Benchmarking, Comp Strategy and Comp Cycles bundles. Comp Cycles is listed at free; paid pricing is on request, with a 14-day trial. The product runs on the web.

PayPulse

PayPulse is a salary benchmarking platform for organisations setting pay in Jersey, Guernsey, and the Isle of Man. It compares roles with benchmarks drawn from organisations in those Crown Dependencies, using AI-based role classification and skill matching to align like-for-like jobs. Its analysis covers market rates, pay equity, and competitive positioning. Users can arrange dashboards with drag-and-drop layouts and export reports in multiple formats. Salary data can sync by API from HiBob, Breathe HR, Access PeopleHR, Sage, and YouManage; CSV upload is also available. PayPulse says salary data is anonymised and aggregated, individual records are not shown to other organisations, and benchmarks refresh periodically as contributions arrive. The first three roles can be assessed free with its AI levelling tool, and Association of Jersey Charities members can access PayPulse free of charge. Other pricing is discussed during a demo; no prices are stated. A 30-minute video demo and a short organisation setup form are offered before connecting an HR system or uploading a CSV. PayPulse says it operates under Jersey’s Data Protection Law and is registered with the Jersey Office of the Information Commissioner.
