In their own words
orgchart.live
orgchart.live turns spreadsheets, pasted rows, PDFs and screenshots into organizational charts in a web browser. Its layout engine redraws charts as people move, aiming to limit overlaps and crossed lines. Shared links let people view a live chart with cursors; viewing needs no account, while editing requires sign-in. CSV and Excel files are parsed in the browser without sending the original spreadsheet file to the service. PDF and screenshot imports use model-based extraction, and the import dialog indicates this before selection. The pricing page lists PNG, PDF, SVG and editable PowerPoint exports; free PNG exports include a footer line. The Free plan is free and includes unlimited people and charts, spreadsheet import, live editing and PNG export. A 3-day pass is 4.99 USD once; Pro is $49 a year, and Business is $199 a year. Business adds sync with listed HR systems and directories. The web service is made by Hivetivity, which lists Atlanta, Georgia as its location.
OrgNice
OrgNice turns a Google Sheet into a live staff directory and org chart, reading the sheet when someone views them. The web directory supports search by any field, card or table layouts, and profiles in a side panel or on separate pages. Org charts can be coloured by department or location, while data validation flags gaps and loops in reporting lines and repairs common ones. Map View uses location columns and supports up to five named views per project. Charts can be exported as PNG, SVG or PDF. OrgNice connects to Google Sheets and can be embedded in Google Sites, Confluence or WordPress; profile links can unfurl with a name and photo in Slack or email. Google OAuth 2.0 grants read-only access to the connected sheet. OrgNice says it does not store sheet contents, while account and project configuration data are stored on Google Cloud Platform in the United States. A free plan and seven-day trial are listed; paid plans start at $20/mo with annual billing.
