OrgNice
OrgNice turns a Google Sheet into a live staff directory and org chart, reading the sheet when someone views them. The web directory supports search by any field, card or table layouts, and profiles in a side panel or on separate pages. Org charts can be coloured by department or location, while data validation flags gaps and loops in reporting lines and repairs common ones. Map View uses location columns and supports up to five named views per project. Charts can be exported as PNG, SVG or PDF. OrgNice connects to Google Sheets and can be embedded in Google Sites, Confluence or WordPress; profile links can unfurl with a name and photo in Slack or email. Google OAuth 2.0 grants read-only access to the connected sheet. OrgNice says it does not store sheet contents, while account and project configuration data are stored on Google Cloud Platform in the United States. A free plan and seven-day trial are listed; paid plans start at $20/mo with annual billing.
SharePoint Smart Org Chart & Directory
SharePoint Smart Org Chart & Directory is a free, open-source web part that adds a searchable employee directory and interactive organization chart to a modern SharePoint page. The directory shows employee photos, names, job titles, departments, offices, email addresses, and phone numbers, with search and A–Z filtering. Chart layouts include drill-down, vertical tree, and horizontal tree views. Reporting hierarchies come from Entra ID manager and direct-report relationships through Microsoft Graph, while profile cards can display Microsoft Teams presence. Five themes, card size, sorting, visible fields, and manager levels are configurable. The interface supports 30 languages and follows each user’s Microsoft 365 language setting or the site default. Charts export to PDF or PNG, and directory data exports to Excel or CSV in the browser. The client-side web part uses delegated Graph permissions; the maker says employee data stays within the tenant. A Global or SharePoint administrator must approve User.Read.All and User.ReadBasic.All. Installation requires uploading and deploying the .sppkg package in the tenant App Catalog, then adding it to a modern page.
