Plivo Verify
Plivo Verify is an API for sending and validating one-time passwords for two-factor authentication. Its documentation supports SMS and voice delivery, and the pricing page also lists WhatsApp channel charges. Applications can configure OTP length from 4 to 8 digits, expiry, delivery attempts, message templates, and Android AppHash. Fraud Shield monitors traffic in real time and blocks suspicious messages to help guard against SMS pumping. Quick-start examples cover Python, Node.js, Ruby, and cURL for creating and validating OTP sessions; delivery status and webhooks are also listed. Plivo charges priced on request for verification and Fraud Shield, but applicable SMS, voice, or WhatsApp channel charges still apply. The service is not enabled by default and is provisioned to direct brands subject to minimum monthly commitments: USD 1,000/month for the US, Canada, UK, Australia, and India (ILDO), or USD 10,000/month for additional pre-registration countries. Customers do not need sender registration or KYC because Plivo uses its own registered Sender IDs. Plivo says it encrypts data in transit with TLS 1.2 or greater and at rest with AES-256, and states that it is SOC 2 certified and PCI DSS Level 1 compliant.
