Overview

PeopleHawk brings career exploration, work-readiness tools and education-provider careers support together with separate preparation products for medical admissions. Its broadest appeal is to students and institutions that want structured pathways from self-assessment to applications; the split between core Premium and separately sold specialist products means it is less suitable for anyone expecting one subscription to cover everything.

Pathway planning, education matching and a counselor dashboard extend its scope beyond an individual career tool. The trade-off is that buyers need to choose by audience, country and purpose rather than treating PeopleHawk as a single, uniform package.

Key features

Career planning and readiness

The Future Pathways Report draws on values, interests, personality and skills to recommend subjects, careers and pathways. Its 100-question assessment takes around 20 minutes and produces a personalised 50-page report, making it a focused choice for someone who wants a structured starting point. It is a one-off purchase, not part of Premium.

Premium combines career and course exploration with bite-sized skills learning, CV and digital profile creation, an AI Elevator Pitch, interview practice with AI feedback, live opportunities and an e-portfolio. That range suits students preparing for work or further study who want ongoing tools rather than a report alone. Specialist products cost extra, so Premium is not a complete bundle for users also seeking admissions preparation.

Schools and admissions

Schools can use Schemes of Work, Career Readiness Journeys, student insights and reporting, UCAS support, applications and work experience features. The UK schools offering also integrates Skills Builder for benchmarking and developing Essential Skills through bite-sized learning. This institutional breadth is useful for organized careers provision; the school Future Pathways option has a 100-student minimum cohort, which rules it out for smaller groups.

HPAT preparation starts with a free readiness test that takes 30 minutes and returns an estimated score, percentile and personalised feedback. Paid Bootcamp adds targeted practice, explanations and feedback; Mastery adds full timed mock exams. MSAT preparation includes practice zones and mock exams with feedback and explanations. These are distinct admissions products, not included in the core career subscription.

Pricing

PeopleHawk is freemium, with regional prices and one-off options as well as monthly Premium. The free HPAT Readiness Test is free in Ireland and the UK. It gives applicants a useful initial benchmark, but not the paid Bootcamp or Mastery preparation.

PeopleHawk Premium — Ireland: 4.99 EUR per month for core career, skills and work-readiness tools. Specialist products are sold separately.
PeopleHawk Premium — UK: 4.99 GBP per month for the same core tools, with specialist products sold separately.
Future Pathways for Schools & Colleges — UK: 29.99 GBP per once for cohorts of 100 students or more, including five supporting lessons.
Future Pathways for Schools & Colleges — Ireland: 29.99 EUR per once, with the same cohort minimum and five lessons.
Future Pathways Report — Ireland: 99.99 EUR per once; the personalised 50-page report follows a 100-question assessment taking around 20 minutes.
Future Pathways Report — UK: 99.99 GBP per once, with the same report and assessment.
HPAT Bootcamp — Ireland: 99.99 EUR per once for targeted practice, explanations and feedback.
HPAT Bootcamp — UK: 99.99 GBP per once for targeted practice, explanations and feedback.
HPAT Mastery — Ireland: 149.99 EUR per once for full timed mock exams.

The cheaper route is the free test or a Premium subscription, but neither replaces the report or paid HPAT options. Buyers should match the regional currency and product to their goal; the school cohort minimum is the clearest purchasing constraint.

Platforms

PeopleHawk runs on Android, iOS and the web, and uses both delivery models. Its mobile and web availability suits students accessing career tools across devices, while the school and reporting features serve institutional provision.

Who it's for

PeopleHawk presents its services for students, schools, colleges, universities and employers, and also describes support for career changers. It is most compelling for students who want both career-readiness tools and a defined pathway report, or for education providers coordinating careers support. HPAT or MSAT applicants can use the dedicated preparation products. Someone seeking only a low-cost assessment may find Premium unnecessary, while a smaller school cohort cannot use the school Future Pathways price as given.

PeopleHawk says user data and backups are stored and processed in UK and Ireland data centres, with encryption at rest and in transit using 256-bit SSL/TLS 1.3. Its privacy policy says personal data is stored within the UK and EEA, while some technical providers outside those regions may receive data subject to safeguards. The company says it is accredited with Cyber Essentials and IASME Governance and is working toward ISO 27001.

Pros and cons

Pro: Career exploration, skills development, interview practice and portfolio tools sit alongside pathway recommendations, giving students more than a single assessment.
Pro: Schools get careers journeys, reporting and UCAS-related support, with a Skills Builder integration described for UK schools.
Pro: HPAT applicants can begin with a free readiness test before paying for targeted practice or timed mock exams.
Con: Specialist products are separate from Premium, so the monthly core price does not cover every preparation need.
Con: The school Future Pathways option requires at least 100 students, limiting its fit for smaller cohorts.
Con: The product range and prices vary by country, so buyers need to select the relevant regional offer rather than assume a single package.

Alternatives

Career Guidance Software is the broader category to compare when choosing among career-planning tools.

Pathly is worth comparing for schools that want free student accounts and counselor plans; students do not need a paid account for access.
Pathful is an alternative for teams that prefer a guided walkthrough, with pricing not listed publicly.
BridgeU suits schools looking for a free service without annual licence fees, per-student charges or subscription renewals; access is arranged through BridgeU.
CareerExplorer is an alternative for users who want to start with a free assessment and consider a paid membership for tools, resources, guidance and support.
MAPP Career Assessment is another freemium option, with a free account and a one-off Executive Package.
PowerSchool Behavior Support is another paid platform to consider.
Start Profile suits young people seeking free access, with content and opportunities funded by partners.
PeopleGrove Engagement Hub is another option to compare.

Verdict

Choose PeopleHawk if you are a student or education provider looking for career-readiness support that can extend from assessment and exploration to practical preparation, or if you need its dedicated HPAT or MSAT tools. Its strongest reason to buy is the breadth across individual planning and institutional careers provision; look elsewhere if you need one subscription to include specialist preparation, or your school group is below the 100-student threshold for the cohort report.
