| Spec score · Church Volunteer Management Software | 7.4 (#25) | 8.4 (#6) |
| Auto-fill | Auto-fill creates a draft schedule that follows parish rules for rotation, ministry conflicts, and backup-only volunteers. | Auto-fill can assign volunteers across open slots using a fair rotation. |
| Integrations | Paroecia currently operates on its own and does not read from or write to other parish management products; integrations are on the roadmap. | The privacy policy names Supabase for database hosting and authentication, Stripe for payments, Resend for email, Vercel for hosting, and Google for advertising conversion measurement; it does not describe user-facing integrations. |
| Scheduling | Ministry Scheduling supports lectors, Eucharistic ministers, altar servers, ushers, sacristans, and cantors. | Organizers can create recurring rosters and season schedules with dates, times, locations, and roles. |
| Security | The maker says parish data is encrypted in transit and at rest, accounts can use multi-factor authentication, and passwords are handled by a managed identity service. | The privacy policy says the service uses TLS/SSL encryption in transit, secure authentication, and row-level database security for organization data isolation. |
| Support | The plan includes email support from a Paroecia team member, and the security page says human responses to security reports arrive within one business day. | All listed plans include priority support, and the privacy policy gives [email protected] as the contact address. |

In their own words
RosterThat
RosterThat is a web service for managing volunteer rosters and signups for churches, camps, sports teams, booster clubs, and community groups. Organizers can create recurring rosters and season schedules with dates, times, locations, and roles, then use auto-fill to assign people to open slots through a fair rotation. Public signup sheets let volunteers claim available spots from a shared link without an account. Volunteers can request shift swaps for teammates to accept and an organizer to approve. Pro and Team send scheduled volunteers an automatic email reminder the evening before their date, in the organization’s timezone. Organizers can import members by CSV and export rosters as PDF or Excel files. The Free plan allows one admin member, up to 20 people, and two active rosters. Pro costs $5 a month and supports up to three admins and 50 people; Team costs $12 a month, with unlimited admins and people. Paid plans allow unlimited rosters. Organizers can mark sponsorship sheets and paid spots with a checkmark and note, but payments are handled separately.
