Xolotl
Xolotl is a veterinary practice management suite for appointments, medical records, hospitalisation, prescriptions, inventory, invoicing, field visits, reporting, and compliance. It is intended for Belgian practices treating companion, equine, farm, breeding, and exotic animals, from solo mobile vets to multi-site clinics. Clinical tools include structured consultations, dose-checked prescriptions, hospital treatment sheets, lab results, and discharge PDFs. For field visits, its phone workflow stores the day's round and records visits offline, then syncs when the device is back in range. Xolotl imports CODA bank statements, matches OGM-referenced payments, and exports ledgers to Winbooks, Exact, or CSV. It sends structured invoices through a practice's Peppol access point but does not receive inbound Peppol invoices. The system records VAMREG and antimicrobial-use information and prepares a declaration export; direct electronic transmission to the FAMHP is not enabled. It runs in a browser, on clinic computers, and can be installed from a browser to a phone. Plans include a free first twelve months for new graduates, followed by half price for the first full year. Paid plans start at €39 per vet / month, excluding VAT.
