In their own words

PicPick

PicPick combines screen capture and recording with image editing, color picking, pixel measurement, and annotation tools in a Windows application. Capture options include full screens, active windows, scrolling windows, fixed or freehand regions, and multiple monitors, with hotkeys and auto-save. Recordings can cover a screen, window, or selected region, include system audio and microphone input, and be saved locally. The editor supports drawing, shapes, callouts, stamps, cropping, resizing, erasing, and retouching. Design tools include a color picker and palette, pixel ruler, magnifier, crosshair, protractor, and whiteboard. Images can be exported as PNG, JPEG, BMP, GIF, or PDF. Sharing destinations include cloud drives, FTP, email, social platforms, and Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. The maker says the application runs locally, does not collect usage data, and does not require an internet connection to function. Home is for personal, non-commercial use and has manual updates and no technical support. Professional costs $3,630 a year and permits business use, with automatic updates and priority technical support. PicPick is for Windows; Mac and Linux builds are not planned.

Usersnap

Usersnap is a product evidence platform that gathers customer signals for product decisions. Users can annotate screenshots and record screen video with audio to explain issues. Feedback collection includes CSAT, NPS, polls, and thumbs-up/down surveys, with conditional questions and targeted audiences. AI tools summarize feedback, identify urgent issues and frequently requested topics, and suggest replies. Integrations include Zoom, Gong, Intercom, ServiceNow, Jira, Asana, Linear, Azure DevOps, and Zendesk. Two-way status synchronization is available for Jira, Jira Product Discovery, Azure DevOps, Asana, and Linear. A Chrome and Firefox extension captures screenshots without a widget on the target site. iOS and Android SDKs support forms and surveys, but not screen capture or annotation. The cloud service runs in European AWS data centers and names SOC 1, SOC 2, and ISO 27001 certifications for those centers. Plans start at $49 a month, billed €49 /month.
