In their own words
PlancyAI
PlancyAI is a voice-first notes app for capturing spoken or typed notes, transcribing audio, and turning memos into summaries, details, and follow-ups. Users can record from a home-screen widget with a single tap, review transcripts, replay audio, and refine generated notes. Projects and filters organize notes; search can find them by text, meaning, or project, and the app can summarize across notes. It can extract action items, turn memo details into to-dos, set reminders, and archive completed items. Users may connect Google Sheets to export selected content, or save notes to local phone storage. The Free plan costs nothing and allows 5 voice memos or notes per day and 100 voice minutes per month, including a 7-day Pro trial. Pro costs $20 a month, billed monthly, and allows 50 per day and 1000 minutes per month, with spreadsheet and local exports. PlancyAI is available on Android and the web; access is rolling out in waves, with a waitlist for early access. Its privacy policy says content may go to OpenAI and Anthropic for AI and speech features, but is not intentionally used to train generalized AI models.
Snow
Snow turns spoken words into structured, searchable notes. It transcribes and cleans up voice captures, extracts key points, and adds tags and context. Notes can be searched by text or voice, and the plan includes AI summaries and connections between notes. A capture can be started with the ⌘+⇧+S shortcut. Snow provides native desktop apps for macOS, Windows, and Linux, plus a web version that works in a phone browser and can be added to the home screen. The maker describes workflows for designers, product managers, developers, and founders. Snow says it is not a meeting bot and does not claim to identify everyone in a group conversation. A seven-day trial is available; Pro costs $8 a month. After the trial, existing notes remain in limited free mode, but creating new notes requires a subscription. Data can be exported at any time. Snow says it does not sell notes or recordings or use them to train AI models, and that notes and recordings are encrypted on its servers. Its desktop apps are not code-signed yet and may prompt an operating-system warning during installation.
