In their own words
Planisware Orchestra
Planisware Orchestra is a project portfolio management solution for PMOs managing IT, product, work-management, and creative projects. Shared dashboards and real-time views show project status, performance, issues, costs, and resource use. Teams can score projects for business alignment and compare business cases through portfolio scenario analysis. Resource planning covers availability, utilization, capacity, and skills inventory, alongside project intake, budget tracking, executive reporting, and cross-project dependencies. Orchestra supports waterfall, agile, hybrid, and phase-gate methods, with configurable workflows. Listed integrations include Jira, Microsoft Azure DevOps, Broadcom Rally, Tableau, Power BI, SharePoint, and Microsoft Project. The service is available only as SaaS, with pricing on request; a company-reported approximation is about €50 per user per month, not a public quote. A 14-day trial is available to applicants with more than 20 people involved in project planning, a dedicated contact, and time for a consultant call. Cloud operations are certified SOC 1/2 Type 2 and ISO 27001.
Rillsoft Project
Rillsoft Project supports project planning, scheduling, resource and capacity planning, multi-project planning, and project controlling. Scheduling tools include Gantt charts, task dependencies, automatic scheduling, critical path analysis, and buffer times. A shared resource pool tracks capacity, qualifications, working times, and availability across parallel projects; capacity analysis can flag demand and bottlenecks before specific employees are assigned. Project controlling compares progress, schedules, effort, and costs with reference plans to identify variances. The software imports and exports MS Project data through XML and Excel data through CSV. It is a Windows desktop client that can work with local project files, an on-premise Integration Server, or Rillsoft Cloud. A full-function trial lasts 30 days; afterward, projects can be read but not created or edited. Freeware is limited to private, non-commercial use, while Reader can view but not edit saved projects. Single-user licenses are listed from €357 a month, plus applicable VAT.
