Overview

Quaily combines newsletter publishing with subscriptions for paid articles, columns, courses, and other creator content. It also supports migration of subscribers, content, orders, and payment methods from services including Substack, WordPress, Patreon, Ghost, and Medium. That migration scope is useful for established publishers moving an audience and its commercial history, rather than starting from scratch.

For payments hosted by Quaily, the platform deducts a 10% fee, Stripe settlement fees, and 10% consumption tax as described on its page. That stack is a material cost of earning through the service; creators comparing subscription revenue should account for all three deductions. Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, Base, and Solana payments are also documented.

Key features

Authors can write in the browser or work with posts through an Obsidian plugin and command-line tool. AI can generate slugs, summaries, tags, and tweet threads, translate content, and assist with writing through a beta feature. This range supports different drafting workflows and can reduce routine publishing work, though some advanced actions consume Credits.

Distribution integrations include Telegram, Discord, LINE, X, Bluesky, and Slack. Premium posts, cross-publishing, Atom feeds, analytics, and data export round out the publishing toolkit. Creators can use their own logo and domain, a meaningful advantage for publishers who want a publication identity that is not limited to a service-branded page.

Credits apply to some usage beyond ordinary writing, including extra sending quota, manually adding subscribers, and importing posts from the internet. That makes the free entry point less predictable for creators who expect to rely heavily on these workflows; check which actions consume Credits before building a repeatable process around them.

Pricing

Plan	Price	What it means
Free	Free	All free until you start earning; after earning revenue, a 10% commission plus channel transaction fees apply.

The Free plan removes a subscription charge at launch, making Quaily viable for testing a publication before it earns. It is not cost-free once revenue begins: hosted payment deductions apply, and some advanced tasks draw on Credits. Creators should weigh those costs against the value of its publishing and membership tools rather than treating the zero-price plan as a complete picture of operating cost.

Platforms

Quaily supports web, Linux, macOS, and Windows, with API access. Browser writing and the Obsidian plugin and command-line tool give it options for both conventional and more technical workflows.

Who it's for

Quaily is best suited to independent creators who want newsletters, paid memberships, cross-channel distribution, and control over their publication’s logo and domain in one service. It is particularly relevant to publishers migrating an existing audience or selling more than newsletter issues. It is a weaker fit for creators whose economics depend on minimizing transaction deductions or whose workflow relies on frequent Credit-using actions.

Pros and cons

Pros

Multiple authoring routes: Browser writing, an Obsidian plugin, and a command-line tool accommodate different creator workflows.
Broad publishing and monetization: Social and messaging integrations sit alongside paid articles, columns, courses, and other subscription content.
Publication identity and portability: Custom logos and domains, data export, and migration support help creators retain a distinct brand and move an existing publication.

Cons

Several payment deductions: Hosted payments incur a 10% platform fee, Stripe settlement fees, and 10% consumption tax, which all affect creator revenue.
Credits for some advanced tasks: Extra sending quota, manual subscriber additions, and internet post imports can introduce usage costs into otherwise free workflows.
Writing assistance is partly beta: The AI writing feature is not presented as a finished capability, so creators should not make it central to their publishing process.

Alternatives

AWeber is worth considering for a more conventional email-marketing setup: its Free plan is free with up to 500 subscribers and 3,000 monthly emails. Quaily is the stronger fit when paid creator content, migration, and multi-channel publishing matter more than those explicit audience and email caps.

Feeder suits readers whose main need is following feeds and getting AI summaries: its Free plan includes 200 feeds, 30-minute updates, 50 posts of history per feed, and two AI summaries per day. It is a different choice from Quaily’s creator-focused publishing and monetization.

DigestFlow AI is an alternative for generating newsletters from RSS feeds, with a Free plan allowing up to three feeds and three newsletters per month. Choose it when that bounded generation workflow is the priority rather than Quaily’s membership publishing.

E-Nuntii offers a free news-curation setup with four newsletter slots, two topics, 25 archived articles, and 10 reference URLs per topic. It is more relevant when assembling topic-based news newsletters than selling creator subscriptions.

EmailBuilder.ai is geared toward composing and sending designed email: its Playground plan includes 10 emails, three templates, 50 AI Assistant calls, and five sends or exports. It is the alternative to examine when email design and reusable modules matter more than a membership publication.

Hanbai provides a Free plan capped at 500 subscribers and 1,000 emails per month, with one signup form, one newsletter, and 10 AI generations per month. It may suit a creator prioritizing bounded email operations over Quaily’s broader paid-content model.

NewsBriefly AI offers a Pro (annual billing) plan at 7.00 USD per month for unlimited Gmail accounts, approved senders, and AI summaries. Consider it when Gmail-based news summaries are the central task.

Reduce is another digest-focused option, with a Free plan described as a basic plan and a Starter plan at 10.00 USD per month that includes five digests and 20 sources per digest, with a maximum of five X sources. It is more appropriate when source-based digests are the goal rather than publishing and monetizing a creator community.

Verdict

Choose Quaily if you are an independent publisher who wants to combine paid creator content, cross-channel distribution, migration support, and control over branding in one service. Its flexible authoring and free starting plan are compelling, but the hosted-payment deductions and Credits make it less attractive for businesses with tight margins or heavy reliance on advanced sending and import workflows.
