Overview

Qashier brings online appointments, POS sales, payment acceptance and customer loyalty into one system. The shared calendar and sales reporting can help salon operators see bookings and revenue together, while payment-linked rewards connect transactions to repeat-visit incentives. It is a stronger fit for a business seeking an integrated operating platform than for one that only needs appointment scheduling.

Key features

Bookings and salon operations

Qashier Bookings supports round-the-clock online appointments, instant confirmation and package redemption. Its team calendar syncs with the POS, which gives staff and owners a joined view of bookings and transactions. Staff performance and commission tracking, together with sales and customer-feedback reports, suit operators who need to monitor service activity as well as sales; those tools are excluded from Lite.

Payments and loyalty

The Malaysia terminal accepts major credit and debit cards, DuitNow QR, Touch ’n Go, GrabPay, Boost, mobile payments and e-wallets. Qashier Treats awards points linked to payments and supports vouchers, promotions and personalised customer messages. That breadth gives salons several ways to encourage repeat business, but Lite excludes QashierPay card payments and add-on tools.

Integrations, security and support

Growth includes Xero, Shopify and WooCommerce integrations. Qashier also describes API connections for payments, POS data and Treats loyalty, with transaction data consolidated in one dashboard. Qashier says it complies with PCI DSS 3.2 as a Level 1 Service Provider and separates sensitive card data from the rest of its infrastructure. It says it follows Malaysia’s PDPA and other personal data protection laws in its markets.

Pricing

Lite is free at no cost. It allows up to 25 products and reports up to one year, but monthly sales and staff limits apply. It also lacks QashierPay card payments, staff management and add-on tools, and provides email-only support. This is best for a small business evaluating the core system or operating within those constraints, not a salon that needs the full payment and staff workflow.

Essential costs 5.00 USD per month, billed RM5/day, with prices excluding SST. It supports up to 9 stores, 1,000 products, unlimited staff and CRM for up to 500 customers. Live chat, phone and WhatsApp support are included. This is the more practical fit for a growing salon that needs multiple staff and locations but can work within the product and customer caps.

Growth costs 8.00 USD per month, billed RM8/day, with prices excluding SST. It supports 10+ stores, unlimited products and CRM, and includes staff commissions and Essential features, as well as Xero, Shopify and WooCommerce integrations. It fits larger operators needing broader scale and commission tracking; smaller salons may not need the extra capacity.

Platforms

Qashier supports Android, iOS, web and API access. QashierHQ works in a browser and on Android, while the Qashier HQ mobile app is available for iPhone and Android. The mix suits teams managing operations from a desktop or mobile device, with API paths for businesses connecting other systems.

Who it's for

Qashier is aimed at SMEs across Southeast Asia, including salons, spas and wellness businesses. Its Malaysia payment options and appointment-to-POS workflow make it particularly relevant to local service businesses that want sales, staff activity and loyalty in one platform. A business that only needs basic scheduling, or cannot work within Lite’s monthly sales and staff caps, should compare specialist alternatives.

Pros and cons

Pro: Bookings, package redemption and a POS-synced team calendar connect appointment work to sales.
Pro: Local payment coverage spans cards, DuitNow QR and major e-wallets, while Treats adds payment-linked points and promotions.
Pro: Growth removes product and CRM caps and includes staff commissions and named commerce integrations.
Con: Lite caps products at 25, imposes monthly sales and staff limits, and omits card payments, staff management and add-ons.
Con: Lite support is email-only; live chat, phone and WhatsApp require Essential or Growth.
Con: Essential caps the catalogue at 1,000 products and CRM at 500 customers, so larger operations need Growth.

Alternatives

For a booking-focused option, Salonist has a free plan with 50 appointments per month, online booking, calendar and scheduling, and staff shift management; choose it when those scheduling functions matter more than Qashier’s combined POS and payments. Cuppacard is a loyalty alternative at 10.00 GBP per month for up to 50 monthly active users, with a custom loyalty scheme, customer insights and custom offers; it suits a reader prioritising a dedicated loyalty programme.

Insight Salon Software offers a single-employee Solo Edition at 25.00 USD per month and a Partner Edition at 50.00 USD per month; it is worth considering when salon-specific software across desktop platforms is the priority. Salonized starts with its Appointments plan at 21.00 EUR per month, with annual billing available at a 10% discount; pick it when appointment management is the central need.

DaySmart Salon has a Basic plan at 29.00 USD per month for one user, with online booking, appointment confirmations and social booking through Instagram and Facebook. meed offers a free plan for up to 50 members and a Pro plan at 59.00 USD per month; it is an option for readers comparing membership-oriented tools. SalonHub360 has a Starter plan at 19.99 USD per month for one staff member, including online booking, a service menu, client management and basic appointment reminders. For a restaurant rather than a salon, SpotOn Restaurant is a POS alternative with ordering, payments, table layouts, menu management and reporting, but its All-In Plan has processing minimums and a two-year minimum term.

Verdict

Qashier is a good fit for Malaysian salons and spas that want bookings, payments, staff performance and loyalty connected in one system. Its locally relevant payment coverage and POS-synced calendar are the clearest reasons to choose it. Look elsewhere if you need only scheduling or if Lite’s sales and staff limits, payment exclusions and email-only support are too restrictive.
