Overview

The suite connects prospect contact and tours with applications, screening, lease renewals, signatures, payments, and document handling. Its renter-facing tools sit alongside lead management, communications, and contact-center capabilities for property teams. That breadth can support a more continuous leasing process, especially for operators managing conventional, affordable, student, senior, or vacation housing; smaller teams seeking only one narrow task may find the scope excessive.

Key features

Applications and lease workflow

Online Leasing supports branded applications built from certified templates and documents, then covers screening, renewals, eSignatures, electronic payments, and document storage. Teams can offer applicants a digital path through much of leasing, with documents uploaded, shared, and managed in the cloud or through RealPage Document Management. Advanced template flexibility is useful for operators with established forms, though teams should ensure the workflow suits their existing processes.

Prospect communication and tours

The AI Leasing Agent responds through chat, text, voice, and email, and can schedule tours and send follow-ups. Touring Solutions offer prospects options across channels, including from a property website. These capabilities can help teams keep inquiries moving across contact points; operators considering the AI agent should also weigh its built-in human review and audit logs, which support oversight of automated interactions.

Screening, identity, and payments

AI Screening uses screening algorithms and rental payment history to help property teams evaluate applicants. Prospect ID Document Validation checks government-issued identification by mobile phone and returns a pass-or-fail result in seconds. That quick check is not suitable for applicants presenting Illinois IDs, which are excluded. Custom-branded web and mobile payment portals accept ACH, credit cards, and debit cards, giving renters several electronic payment methods.

Systems and support

Online Leasing says it works with all major property management systems and integrates with community websites, multiple CRM systems, and the RealPage Contact Center. The AI Leasing Agent identifies Yardi, ResMan, RealPage, Entrata, and MRI as PMS integration partners. The Contact Center handles calls, email, texts, and chats, while the Customer Relationship Manager adds lead management, communications, automation, call performance data, and analytics. RealPage’s customer portal provides 24/7 access to live chat, case management, support, and a knowledge base; phone specialists are available Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Central Time.

Pricing

RealPage Leasing uses custom pricing, with costs available by contacting RealPage or requesting a demo. That approach may suit operators evaluating a broader leasing workflow, but buyers who need a published per-seat or per-property cost cannot compare the total from a public price alone.

Platforms

RealPage Leasing is available on Android, iOS, and the web. Its online and mobile payment portals also give renters a way to pay electronically across devices.

Who it's for

The product is aimed at real estate owners and managers across conventional, affordable, student, senior, and vacation rental housing. It is a stronger fit for teams that want prospect engagement, tours, online applications, screening, signing, payments, and document handling in a connected leasing operation than for buyers seeking a single-purpose application or a fixed-cost tool.

Pros and cons

Pros: The workflow spans applications, renewals, signatures, payments, and document storage, reducing the need to stitch together each renter-facing step.
Pros: The AI Leasing Agent communicates across chat, text, voice, and email, with tour scheduling and follow-ups to support prospect handling across channels.
Pros: Integration coverage includes major PMS platforms, community websites, CRM systems, and the RealPage Contact Center.
Cons: Custom pricing makes it harder to assess cost before engaging with sales.
Cons: Prospect ID Document Validation excludes Illinois IDs, limiting that identity-check workflow for some applicants.

Alternatives

Choose LOFT if renters and residents need a free service: its LOFT for residents plan is free, though sign-up requires the property manager’s community to be registered with LOFT. Consider EliseAI LeasingAI as another paid Android, iOS, and web option.

Entrata is another paid property management platform, available on Android, iOS, web, and API. DashQ Leasing Center is a paid alternative whose screening charges are based on consumption and tied to the community and application. Knock CRM is a paid option available on iOS, web, and API.

MagicDoor has a paid Advanced - AI Assistant plan starting at 1.50 USD per month with a one-year contract; pricing starts at 25 units. Rently Smart Leasing offers Basic Leasing at 28.00 USD per month per listing credit, with annual credit purchases also available. Funnel Leasing is another paid option, with Essentials covering CRM, omnichannel communications, AI message suggestions, AI workflows, and online leasing.

Verdict

RealPage Leasing is best for multifamily operators who want prospect engagement and renter-facing leasing steps to connect with screening, payments, and document handling. Its breadth and integration coverage are the main reasons to choose it; custom pricing and the Illinois ID-validation exclusion are the clearest reasons to look elsewhere.
