In their own words
Recon-X
Recon-X is a payment reconciliation platform for finance teams. It uses machine learning to match transactions across banks, payment gateways, and internal ledgers, automatically posting confirmed matches and routing unmatched or partial matches into a review queue. Teams can investigate, split, or manually match exceptions, assign them to colleagues, and work from shared queues. Recon-X produces audit trails and reconciliation reports with exportable logs for matched and adjusted transactions. It supports multi-currency matching, automatic FX rate handling, and variance reporting. Named connections include Stripe, PayPal, Adyen, NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, Xero, most SWIFT-enabled banking institutions, and a REST API; enterprise accounts can get custom connectors. The maker describes encryption in transit and at rest, least-privilege access, SOC 2-aligned controls, and GDPR-ready handling. Starter costs $199 a month for up to 10,000 transactions and two connected sources. Business costs $699 a month for up to 250,000 transactions, unlimited sources, priority support, and onboarding.
SettlePair
SettlePair is a free browser tool that matches bank deposits to invoices from CSV exports. Its deterministic, rule-based scoring shows the evidence behind each result and leaves the final match decision to the user; it does not use AI. Payment exceptions can be handled by allocating partial payments, splitting one deposit across invoices or applying several deposits to one invoice. After review, users export a file named settlepair-reconciliation.csv. Invoice and bank files are parsed in the browser and never uploaded. An account for personal files stores an email address only. Payer rules and opted-in saved sessions stay on the user’s device, with saved sessions expiring after 30 days. SettlePair does not connect to banks or accounting systems, so users import CSV exports and record reviewed results themselves. It supports current desktop Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari, plus the same browser engines on mobile. Very large files depend on available device memory. The product targets small businesses, bookkeepers and accounts-receivable teams. Its beta plan costs nothing, with no subscription tiers or usage limits.
