TexturePacker

TexturePacker creates sprite sheets from images and optimizes graphics for games. It arranges sprites with Grid, Basic, MaxRects, or Polygon packing, trims transparent areas, and can store identical sprites only once. Multipack places sprites on as few sheets as possible, while filters control which sprites go onto each sheet. Image optimization includes PngQuant and Zopfli PNG compression, plus hardware texture codecs such as ETC, PVRTC, DXT, ASTC, and Basis Universal. Tools for artists include a 9-patch editor, pivot point editor, animation preview, and sprite sheet splitter. TexturePacker supports more than 48 game engines, including Unity, Unreal Engine, Godot, Phaser, and Cocos2d-x; users can also define a data format for an in-house engine. It runs on Linux, macOS, and Windows, and offers a command-line interface and a Docker/CI license for automated builds. Essential is free for non-commercial use; it excludes advanced features such as polygon packing, multipack, many engine formats, and batch processing. Other listed desktop licenses start at $49.99 once, and new installations can try all features for seven days.
