In their own words

Roxel

Roxel is a free, open-source desktop voxel editor for hobbyists and indie creators, available for Windows and macOS. Its tools include brush, erase, recolor, eyedrop, select, move, and shape drawing. Rectangles, ellipses, and lines can be drawn on a build plane or extruded into 3D forms. An open-world grid allows painting across X/Z and upward as far as memory permits. Roxel includes built-in palettes, user palette management, and Adobe Swatch Exchange import and export. It opens MagicaVoxel .vox, Qubicle .qb, and Goxel .gox files, and exports .vox, .gox, .obj, .fbx, .glb, .png, and .svg. Projects use the .rox format; the maker says .glb exports are ready for Unity and Godot. Light, Dark, and System themes include customizable canvas and floor colors. The MIT license permits use, forks, and building on the project. Its itch.io page marks it in development and lists version 0.7.1 downloads. The maker says macOS builds are self-signed and not notarized, and Windows builds are unsigned.

Solid Editor

Solid Editor is a voxel graphics editor for creating game-ready assets in the Solid Engine pipeline. Its scene uses Solid Engine’s path tracer to render lighting in real time while editing. Voxels can be edited directly in 3D with a brightly colored ball as the pointing device. A single Selection tool applies effects to selected voxels and previews them live. The editor is natively compatible with Solid Engine and requires 64-bit Windows 10 or newer or 64-bit Linux, with Nvidia graphics cards only. A GeForce GTX 1080 or better is recommended but not required. The optional Ball Pointer needs a webcam, while the editor also works without it. Windows and Linux v0.1.0 downloads are offered, with a warning that this early version may crash or glitch. MagicaVoxel import/export, animation, scene layers, and polygon model import are planned. The free editor has a one-time 10.00 USD Pro user plan.
