In their own words
Siemens Opcenter
Siemens Opcenter is a manufacturing operations management portfolio covering production execution, quality, planning, scheduling and manufacturing intelligence. Its MES products track and enforce production processes to support quality and efficiency. Quality management capabilities help organize processes and resources for customer requirements and compliance with standards and industry guidelines. Planning and scheduling tools are intended to reduce inventory, shorten production cycles and improve customer service levels. Opcenter Intelligence uses manufacturing and enterprise data to show production status and analytics.
Opcenter X is a modular SaaS option designed for small and medium-sized businesses. Essentials includes order management, track and trace, and non-conformance management; Standard adds digital-twin integration, with high availability available as a purchase option. Both plans can be deployed through SaaS, VPC or on-premises. Essentials supports NATS, MQTT, OPC UA, file-system and HTTP interoperability. Siemens lists pricing on request and offers a 30-day free trial of Opcenter X. The wider portfolio also includes factory-layout connections to real-time system data and integration adapters, including bidirectional SAP ERP flows.
Turnella
Turnella is browser-based workforce management software for operations teams planning staffing without a dedicated WFM department. It forecasts workload, calculates staffing requirements, builds schedules, and models labour costs. Supported channels include inbound voice, live chat, email or back-office work, and 24/7 voice, with a separate staffing model for each. Users can import historical data for interval demand forecasts and manually override intervals. Scheduling includes shift templates, named agent assignments, availability and time-off rules, with Excel or calendar export. CSV imports work with systems such as Genesys, Zendesk, Freshdesk, Five9, Twilio Flex, and Intercom; the maker says sources containing date and volume columns also work. The Core Turnella plan costs nothing, with no credit card, trial period, or expiry. It runs in a browser and offers API access.
