Skribe

Skribe is a paid web platform for capturing, searching, analyzing, and sharing legal testimony. It serves litigators, attorneys, and paralegals through tools for uploaded recordings and live depositions. Automated speech recognition creates rough transcripts, while professional transcriptionists proofread final transcripts. Users can search testimony and make shareable video clips. Its AI analysis uses Anthropic for post-event analysis and question answering; Skribe says customer information is not used for external training or shared with third parties for that purpose. Library costs $99, paid once and supports audio or video uploads, rough transcripts, synced video-to-text, and clips. Link costs $129, paid once, joins Zoom depositions, and provides HD video with an AI rough transcript. Live costs $379, paid once, includes a Digital Reporter, and delivers a same-day rough transcript plus a human-verified final transcript in 5–7 days. Final transcripts include a sworn Declaration of Verbatim Transcript. Skribe requires a computer with webcam, microphone, and speakers; it suggests 50 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.

SoniClear Transcriber 10

SoniClear Transcriber 10 uses cloud AI to turn recordings into meeting minutes and legal transcripts, including verbatim transcripts for court reporting. It runs on Windows 11 and imports MP3, WAV, MP4, M4A, and WMV files. Recording sources include handheld recorders, other recording systems, Zoom, Teams, and the web. During review, users can click transcript text to play the matching audio locally, then export transcripts and notes to Microsoft Word. Cloud transcription requires an internet connection and uploads recordings to SoniClear's server for processing. SoniClear says recordings and transcripts are removed from the server after processing and employees cannot access them. The company also says the service is not designed for HIPAA-covered medical processing or high-security applications such as government security agencies. The free Player plan supports manual playback and transcription but includes no cloud transcription time. Pro costs $360 a year and includes 40 hours of cloud transcription; extra time can be purchased. Unused transcription time expires when a subscription or support service ends, but can roll over upon renewal.
