WakaScribe
WakaScribe is dictation software that can process speech on a device or use cloud recognition. Its local mode uses NVIDIA Parakeet; cloud mode uses Whisper Large V3 Turbo. Dictated text can be entered into browsers, word processors, messaging apps, code editors and business tools through system-level integration. Users can choose Cool, Normal or Formal writing styles, make personal dictionaries, and give voice instructions to translate, summarize, rephrase, correct, extract key points, or shorten or expand selected text. Local recognition supports major European languages; cloud recognition covers over 100 languages and dialects with automatic language detection. The FAQ says local processing sends no sound, text or computer data away, while enterprise audio is deleted after cloud transcription. Business mode offers synchronized team dictionaries and collaboration settings hosted in Europe. WakaScribe lists Android, iOS, Linux, macOS and Windows. Local mode is free forever; Business mode is €1.00 per month per user.
