In their own words

Ayillo Tenant Screening

Ayillo Tenant Screening is a screening workflow within property-management software for landlords and property managers. Before applications open, each property must publish screening criteria that include a credit floor, income multiple and criminal-history policy. Checks can cover credit reports and scores, eviction and civil-judgment history, criminal history where allowed, income verification and prior landlord references. Ayillo says criminal screening follows jurisdictional rules, including ban-the-box requirements. If a report contributes to a denial, the system prepares an adverse-action notice naming the screening company and explaining the applicant's dispute rights. The landlord or property manager who ran the check can see the underlying report; applicants receive a summary decision and, if adverse, the notice. Screening connects with applications, lease generation, e-signatures and renewals. The Core workspace costs $49 a month, billed monthly per workspace, and includes the first 5 units. New professional workspaces receive a 30-day free trial, which requires a payment card to start.

RentSafe

RentSafe is a web-based tenant-screening platform for property managers, landlords, and renters. Property managers can create customized rental applications and separate links for each property, then view applications and real-time results in a centralized dashboard. Screening reports include a full credit report, national eviction search, and national criminal background check; RentSafe partners with TransUnion for credit reporting. It says checks are processed instantly, with results reaching the dashboard within seconds. The credit inquiry is soft and does not affect an applicant’s credit score. Renters can submit applications, upload documents, invite roommates, and follow application status through the portal. Managers can start screening after account creation without credentialing. The Property Manager plan is free and lists unlimited applications. A renter application costs $45, paid once for each adult applicant and includes one application report. RentSafe does not make application decisions: landlords or property managers decide whether to approve applicants.
