Overview

BookFit is studio-management software for fitness businesses, from independent trainers to group-class studios. It is best for operators who want clients to book and pay online while keeping schedules, memberships, and client records in one system. Free removes the subscription, but its payment fee makes the economics worth checking against your volume.

Key features

Scheduling spans recurring classes, workshops, and private sessions, with capacity rules, waitlists, cancellation policies, reminders, and round-the-clock self-booking. That combination suits a business mixing appointments and group sessions: clients can reserve their own places, while waitlists and capacity controls help manage full classes. Automated reminders address routine follow-up, though the supplied plan details do not distinguish reminder availability by tier.

BookFit combines online sales of memberships and class packs with Stripe payments, receipts, refunds, and package-balance tracking. Client profiles hold history, notes, and memberships, and digital waivers support intake. Booking and revenue visibility gives owners a view of activity; tax tracking and transaction export are Studio-only, a meaningful restriction for businesses that need those tools for routine administration.

Members can book through a branded client app and booking site. Custom client apps and websites are optional add-ons, so businesses seeking a bespoke digital presence should account for that separately. Stripe is the named payment integration. BookFit says personal data travels over encrypted HTTPS, is held in access-controlled databases, and passwords are salted and hashed with bcrypt. It says it does not sell personal information, and that client and studio data belongs to the customer and can be exported.

Pricing

BookFit has a free plan, two paid tiers, and a 30-day trial. The free tier has no subscription and allows unlimited clients and bookings, memberships, packs, vouchers, and online payments. Its all-in payment fee is 3.5% + €0.25, so it is most attractive to a new or low-volume operator testing online bookings; businesses taking frequent payments should compare that per-transaction cost with the paid plans, where Stripe fees still apply.

Trainer costs €49.00 per month, billed monthly, or €490 annual subscription. It keeps unlimited clients, classes, appointments, memberships, packs, and vouchers, and adds waitlists, sign-up forms and waivers, cash payment recording, and standard support. It is the natural step up for a solo trainer who needs waivers or cash tracking and wants to move beyond Free's payment fee structure, while remembering that Stripe fees still apply.

Studio costs €89.00 per month, billed monthly, or €890 annual subscription. It includes everything in Trainer, full booking branding, tax tracking and export, priority support, and up to six users total: one owner account plus as many as five staff users. This suits a small team that needs staff access or the additional reporting tools; a larger organization will hit the stated user ceiling. All plans list one owner account.

Platforms

BookFit runs on Android, iOS, and the web, giving owners and clients mobile-app and browser access. The terms describe availability through web and mobile applications.

Who it's for

The product targets solo trainers and fitness businesses including Pilates, yoga, CrossFit, HIIT, strength training, personal training, and group fitness. Its unlimited client and booking allowances across tiers are useful for growing client lists, while the one-owner-account structure and Studio's six-user cap make it a less natural fit for larger, multi-location teams. Onboarding, migration support, and one-on-one training are offered; BookFit says human inquiries are usually answered within a few hours.

Pros and cons

Pro: Self-booking, recurring schedules, waitlists, reminders, memberships, and payment handling cover a broad fitness-studio workflow in one product.
Pro: Unlimited clients and bookings on Free let a solo operator start without a subscription.
Con: Free charges 3.5% + €0.25 per payment, while paid plans still incur Stripe fees.
Con: Tax tracking and transaction export require Studio, and that tier tops out at six users.
Con: Custom client apps and websites are optional add-ons rather than included branding features.

Alternatives

Personal Trainer Scheduling Software is a useful starting point for comparing scheduling-focused options. Choose Teamup instead if its free tier's five sub-calendars, five users, one custom field, and one year of historical data match your needs. WellnessLiving may suit a business willing to pay for its Starter plan, which is $62.00 USD per month billed annually for one staff member and includes classes and appointments booking plus client and staff apps. PushPress is another freemium option; its Free plan has no monthly fees and includes unlimited leads, admins, members, and staff, with the stated card and ACH fees.

inyad is worth comparing for a business in Morocco considering its free payment-processing or paid POS plans. Momence is an option for businesses seeking tailored pricing through a sales quote. Gymdesk may suit a gym looking at its $75.00 USD per month plan for up to 50 members. Arketa is another paid alternative, with an Individual plan at $49.00 USD per month billed annually and one team-member login. EZFacility is an alternative for readers who want to explore plans after submitting a pricing form.

Verdict

BookFit is a strong fit for solo trainers and small studios that want self-booking, client records, memberships, and payments under one roof, especially if unlimited clients and bookings on Free are compelling. Choose it when those combined workflows matter more than avoiding transaction fees; look elsewhere if you need a larger staff allowance, or if Studio's tax and export tools are not worth its higher monthly price.
