In their own words
CloseZero
CloseZero is an AI accounting service for scaling startups, available through web and API. It brings multiple entities and currencies into one ledger, with source documents linked to entries. Its AI categorizes transactions, matches them to documents, and reconciles them against bank statement lines for review. It can extract vendor, amount, date, and tax details from receipts and supplier invoices, attaching the original file as evidence. The service describes a Stripe connection using a restricted key, lists Brex, Wise, Revolut, and HSBC, and accepts CSV or PDF bank statement imports. P&L, balance sheet, cash, burn, and runway reports update as entries arrive. Investor rooms offer scoped read-only access or point-in-time PDF packs, and access can be revoked. Accountants can work in the ledger and auditors can receive read-only seats; CloseZero says it does not replace either professional. The free plan costs nothing and has no time limit or card requirement below $10,000 MRR or $100,000 raised. Documents can be downloaded and a read API is available, but one-click export of the entire ledger is still to be built.
SBKA
SBKA is an AI-assisted bookkeeping platform for small businesses in the EU, available on web, Android, and iOS through an installable PWA. Users can describe a transaction for SBKA to draft a bookkeeping entry, which they review and approve. It also analyzes uploaded or emailed invoices and receipts, and matches imported CSV bank statements. Reports cover income, balance, VAT, and SIE/SAF-T. The platform supports 39 currencies, daily ECB exchange rates, and historical rates from 2006; it lists support for 13 EU countries. Users can export data as JSON. SBKA says documents and sensitive database fields are encrypted with AES-256-GCM, communications use TLS 1.2+, and personal data is pseudonymized before AI analysis. Two-factor authentication is mandatory, and users are responsible for reviewing AI suggestions before saving them. Plans are Enskild at €490 a month, Start at €1,590 a month, Företag at €3,490 a month, and Byrå at €12,990 a month.
