In their own words
Crazy Egg
Crazy Egg is a website analytics platform for examining visitor behavior and conversion activity. It offers heatmaps, session recordings, web analytics, A/B testing, surveys, popup calls to action, conversion analytics, and error tracking. Reports can show clicks, scrolling, overlays, confetti, and lists. The Free plan includes Web Analytics, Instant Heatmaps, Conversion Analytics, and surveys. Instant Heatmaps track up to 1,000 sessions per day and retain 30 days of data, with no website limit. Paid plans start at $29 a month, billed annually, and include a 30-day trial that requires a credit card. Starter includes 5,000 tracked pageviews, five heatmap reports, and 50 recordings per month. All paid plans include unlimited website domains and team members. Crazy Egg is available through web, API, and extension platforms, and installation integrations include Shopify, WordPress, and Google Tag Manager. When monthly tracking limits are reached, data collection pauses until the first of the next month.
Mouseflow

Its platform includes session replay, heatmaps, friction detection, conversion funnels, journey analytics, form analytics, and feedback surveys. Mouseflow says it records all sessions without sampling, and includes rage-click detection and mobile capture. Ask Mina lets users ask questions about behavioral data, while Mina Insights surfaces patterns and friction. Integrations listed include Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, AB Tasty, Shopify, and Google Ads. Setup can use a JavaScript snippet before the closing body tag, with plugins and integrations also available. Mouseflow says its data centers are ISO 27001 and SOC 1 Type II certified, with PCI DSS compliance, and that its US data center meets HIPAA standards. It says IP addresses are masked automatically and EU customer data is stored in the EU. The free plan includes 500 sessions per month; paid plans include stated session and retention limits. When a monthly session allowance runs out, tracking stops until refill or upgrade.
