In their own words
Current RMS
Current RMS is cloud software for managing equipment rentals in the AV, production, event and party rental industries. Its availability engine calculates how much stock is available now and in the future, while asset tools track bulk inventory or serialized items and create barcode and QR code labels. A rental-focused CRM organizes customer and colleague interactions, activities, tasks and email discussions. Teams can send branded proposals and rental documents for online approval, comments and digital signatures, and manage deposits and part invoices while the system calculates the remaining balance. Accounting integrations with Xero, QuickBooks Online and Sage Business Cloud support posting invoices and credit notes and recording payments. The product also lists integrations including TeamTrack, PATGuard Cloud, Arrivy and HubSpot Data Sync, and offers an open API for customer-built integrations. It runs on Android, iOS and the web. The First User plan is $79 a month; each additional user is $49 a month. A 30-day trial requires no card details.
Rentman
Rentman brings rental operations and event production management together for equipment, crews, workflows, tasks and team collaboration. Users can check equipment availability, book equipment, manage subrentals and review costs. QR and barcode scanning tracks equipment location across multiple locations. Crew scheduling uses drag-and-drop, with shifts filled according to availability, training and cost. The service can create estimates and branded quotes, collect digital signatures for quotes and contracts, and support online payments and invoicing. Its mobile app lets crew accept or decline job invitations, report availability and hours worked, and access job notes and files. Listed integrations include QuickBooks, Zapier, Mollie, Xero, WooCommerce, Stripe and the Rentman API, among others. Rentman serves event rental teams and AV and event professionals, from one-person operations to large production companies. Basic users are free, but power users are needed to create or edit projects and schedule equipment or crew. The pricing note lists a 30-day trial and a starting price of €39/mo; the Rentman Platform plan is €39 a month.
