In their own words

DockHero

DockHero combines dock scheduling, yard management, and a carrier platform in a web-based product configured for each site. Scheduling can use a whole-warehouse calendar or be organized by section or door. Carriers can self-book with a purchase or sales order, which DockHero validates against the warehouse order book. Load rules can set appointment duration, eligible doors, slot capacity, blackout windows, and custom hours. The yard board supports multiple yards and zones, drag-and-drop trailer moves, and live door status. Shunters can use a browser on a cab tablet to view prioritized moves and tell a coordinator when a move is complete. Its free carrier portal provides appointments across invited sites, scorecards, a driver roster, and magic links. SMS updates are sent only to drivers who opted in and include an opt-out. Warehouse plans start at $249 a month and include a 30-day trial without a credit card. DockHero describes its audience as warehouses and dock-based businesses, including food and cold chain, retail, manufacturing, 3PL, e-commerce, and wholesale.

DockSync

DockSync is a browser-based platform for scheduling dock activity and managing warehouse bookings, bays, supplier performance and driver check-ins. Warehouse teams can create bookings, or suppliers can book deliveries, collections, returns and other planned activity themselves. Drivers check in by scanning a QR code with a smartphone, without needing a driver app; staff can then send SMS instructions from the dashboard. The calendar offers month, week and day views, with controls for operating hours, restricted hours and blackout dates. Reports cover supplier activity, on-time performance, completion rates, delays, missed bookings and bay occupancy, with CSV export. Starter and Growth include API access; Enterprise lists webhooks and SSO/SAML. Accounts currently cover one warehouse, while Enterprise offers volume pricing for multiple sites; a unified multi-warehouse dashboard is listed as roadmap. Starter costs £79 a month for one warehouse and up to eight bays. Growth is £179 a month for one warehouse with unlimited bays. The 30-day trial includes Growth features, requires no payment details and does not automatically bill at the end.
