In their own words
Driversnote
Driversnote tracks business mileage for individuals and teams, with automatic trip logging through phone motion detection. Drivers can classify trips as business or personal, and entering work hours enables automatic classification. Reports can be saved as PDF or Excel and sent through the app. An optional Bluetooth iBeacon in a vehicle starts or stops tracking when the driver enters or leaves. Teams includes report collection, review and approval, tags, notes, reminders, custom rates, and audit tools. Managers see submitted trips only, and personal details can be censored in team reports. Driversnote says it records location only while a user is driving and that users own their trip data. The Free plan allows reports for up to 15 trips per month; subscription plans allow unlimited trips and reports. Pro costs $11 a month and includes an edit log and public API. Teams also costs $11 a month for 2–10 users, with report collection and validation. The service is available on Android, iOS, web, and API.
Psngr
Psngr logs trips and creates periodic mileage reimbursement or tax deduction reports. Its mobile app can record trips automatically using a phone's location and motion sensors, while machine learning can classify repeating trips with hashtags such as #business or #personal. The web dashboard supports configurable reports, and trip data can be exported as PDF, CSV, or Excel. The Free plan is free and includes 40 trips per month and one report per month. Pro plans provide unlimited trips and reports, an advanced web dashboard, and secure access from any device, but each is for one user and device; only one app instance per account can actively log trips. Enterprise adds team roles, report submission and approval, and accounting SaaS integrations for approved reports. Psngr Beacon is sold separately and provides automatic vehicle detection for multiple vehicles. Psngr says data is transferred with 256-bit encryption and stored in the cloud. Android installation is available directly by APK while the app is temporarily removed from Google Play; version 4.11.2 requires Android 8.0 or later.
