Overview

IXCloud brings recordings from connected communication platforms into a cloud repository. Its managed Azure deployment avoids maintaining physical or virtual servers, which suits organizations that want hosted recording without operating the underlying infrastructure. In return, buyers should confirm the commercial terms and whether the included storage and optional analytics meet their needs.

Key features

Capture covers audio, Microsoft Teams video and screen sharing, including on-demand Teams recording with PCI muting. Rules can select recordings by scenario, participant, keywords and other criteria, a useful distinction for organizations that need targeted capture rather than recording every interaction the same way. Numonix lists integrations with Teams, Avaya, Cisco and other unified communications platforms.

Each tenant includes 1 TB of geo-redundant storage, and customers can store encrypted recordings in their own Azure Blob storage account. That provides a meaningful starting capacity and an option to use customer-controlled storage, though teams with larger archives should establish storage costs and limits before committing.

Role-based access controls, two-factor authentication, 256-bit AES encryption and digital signatures address access and recording integrity. Numonix says its ISMS is ISO/IEC 27001-certified and that it maintains a SOC 2 Type II attestation. It describes IXCloud as supporting HIPAA and GDPR compliance; it does not claim HIPAA certification.

Transcription is supported, while transcription capacity is sold in 100-hour increments. An additional-purchase analytics package adds on-demand AI summaries, sentiment analysis and PII redaction. These capabilities may help organizations reviewing recorded interactions, but they are not part of the base offer and require buyers to account for both the add-on price and transcription capacity.

Searchable archives and consent controls are supported. SaaS support is included in fees under the ordering document, and customers can submit and track tickets through Numonix’s support portal. Paying customers have a 99.9% monthly availability target under the SLA, subject to its conditions and exclusions; that target is not an unconditional guarantee.

Pricing

IXCloud is paid software with custom pricing. The three per-user, per-month plan labels indicate different Teams and non-Teams scopes, but prices are not published:

Enterprise: Teams + Other.
Business: Teams PBX.
Hybrid: Ex-Teams.

Those distinctions may help buyers identify the relevant deployment scope, but they do not make the plans comparable on cost. Request a quote that spells out included users, storage, analytics, transcription capacity and any contract terms. The trial lasts 30 days unless Numonix extends it in writing. Treat it as a time-limited evaluation, not as an indication of ongoing free access.

Platforms

IXCloud is listed for web and API access. Its Azure SaaS deployment requires no customer-operated physical or virtual servers, a fit for organizations seeking a managed cloud service rather than infrastructure to maintain themselves.

Who it's for

IXCloud fits enterprise buyers consolidating recordings across communication platforms, especially those using Teams, Avaya or Cisco and needing configurable capture, controlled access and a central archive. The 1 TB tenant allocation and customer Azure Blob option give storage planning some flexibility. Smaller buyers or teams seeking a clearly priced product may find the custom quote process and enterprise orientation less appealing; organizations that need AI analysis should also budget for the separate analytics package.

Pros and cons

Pros: Audio, Teams video and screen-sharing capture, with PCI muting for on-demand Teams recording, cover more than voice-only archiving.
Pros: Rules based on scenario, participant or keywords allow targeted recording rather than a single capture policy.
Pros: Managed Azure hosting, 1 TB of geo-redundant storage and an option for customer Azure Blob storage reduce infrastructure burden while preserving a storage choice.
Cons: Custom pricing and plan names tied to different Teams scopes make it hard to compare costs without a tailored quote.
Cons: AI summaries, sentiment analysis and PII redaction require an additional purchase, and transcription capacity comes in 100-hour increments.
Cons: The free plan’s limits are unclear, and the 99.9% availability target is subject to SLA conditions and exclusions.

Alternatives

Luware Nimbus may suit buyers who want a published service-based entry price: its Advanced Routing plan is 85.00 USD per month for 25 services or more, though its free plan is not available.

AudioCodes Interaction Insights is another paid option with a free trial; its Essential Recording plan is hosted in AudioCodes’ secure cloud and retains recordings for up to 24 months, with additional recording add-ons costing extra.

AthTek Video Call Recorder for Skype is a narrower alternative for Skype users who prefer a one-time license: its ID and PC licenses are each 29.95 USD per once and include lifetime use with free updates.

MiaRec offers a published Essentials price of 25.00 USD per month under an annual contract, with a 25-user minimum, three months of storage, 1,500 minutes per user per month and standard support; it is worth comparing if those defined limits fit better than a custom IXCloud quote.

Smarsh Call Recording and Analytics is another paid call-recording and analytics option.

Imagicle Call Recording may suit buyers seeking a cloud recording plan with an annual fee, automatic updates, included ImagicleCare and elastic storage; its price is also custom.

PhoneUP5 is another paid alternative with permanent-license and subscription options.

Vox Teams Recorder is another option for Teams recording, with sales handling its pricing.

Verdict

Choose IXCloud if your enterprise needs managed, cross-platform recording with configurable capture rules, substantial included storage and access controls. Its main case is the combination of hosted operation and flexible recording scope. Look elsewhere if you need transparent pricing, a known free-plan allowance or built-in AI analytics without a separate purchase.
