In their own words
Events500
Events500 is browser-based venue management software for sales, operations, and finance teams. It is presented for UK venues handling conferences, weddings, sports hospitality, meetings, and private events. The event diary shows activity by day, week, or month. Booking data can produce online proposals and contracts for customers to review and sign. A drag-and-drop table planner stores guest names, menu choices, and dietary requirements. A customer portal shares selected documents, seating plans, and files. Customers can pay invoices through the venue’s chosen payment provider. Online bookings can be embedded on a venue website or connected to Venue Directory’s Instant Book. Events500 includes more than 40 reports and configurable dashboards. Listed integrations include QuickBooks, Xero, Sage Finance, Stripe, Worldpay, Global Payments, Microsoft 365, Azure SSO, Gmail, Rezlynx, Artifax, Venue Directory, WedPro, Venue Performance, Meetings Intelligence, and Two Circles. Its REST API can read booking and event data, check room availability, and create bookings, events, and contacts. Pricing is available on request.
GridX Events
GridX Events is web-based software for managing marquee, banquet hall, catering, event-planning, and hotel event-space operations. It follows work from leads and quotations through bookings, event costs, and per-event profit and loss. Venues can build quotes from reusable service and catering packages with per-guest costs, discounts, and taxes, then send a branded PDF and portal link for approval. Bookings support staged payment schedules, and the availability calendar checks blackout dates and overlapping reservations. Menus can include courses, per-guest rates, and dietary tags; a printable Banquet Event Order can assemble the timeline, menu, headcount, layout, staffing, and requirements. Procurement, inventory use, labour, and direct expenses can be assigned to events and rolled up with revenue into a P&L. Accounting features include a double-entry general ledger with automatic posting from invoices and receipts, service-tax invoice lines, and tenant tax profiles for NTN/STRN. Installment and overdue-balance reminders can go by WhatsApp, SMS, or email, and online payments can reconcile with booking schedules and the ledger. The free Venue Base Plan includes leads, quotations, bookings, calendar, teams, expenses, ledger, roles, permissions, and 2FA. A free trial is also offered with all modules unlocked and no credit card required.
