FieldCosts
FieldCosts is a job expense and receipt tool for field-service teams, with workflows for reimbursement approvals and estimated job margins. An expense can be tied to a job, category, and worker, then reviewed with its receipt and amount in one approval queue. On mobile, workers can access assigned jobs, directions, notes, files, progress, and receipt capture. Margin estimates use recorded revenue and approved job expenses; they may omit labor, overhead, tax, and other indirect costs. FieldCosts exports expenses as a QuickBooks-ready CSV, but direct live synchronization is not currently available. It runs on Android, iOS, and the web. The Founding Customer Plan costs $59 a month after a free 30-day live pilot, for up to 10 users. It includes current web and mobile features, guided founder onboarding, direct support, accounting workflow exports, and read-only access after cancellation. The service is intended for business, commercial, and professional use, not personal or household use.
Knowify
Knowify is project and service management software for trade contractors working on commercial and residential jobs. It covers work from small service calls to complex construction projects, with tools to create estimates, proposals, and fixed-price, cost-plus, time-and-materials, and AIA contracts. Project features include scheduling, time tracking, change orders, daily logs, work orders, and dashboards. For job finances, it tracks costs and projected profitability and provides WIP reporting and project-level insights. Knowify says it syncs nearly everything with QuickBooks Online in real time; other listed integrations include QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Payroll, Payments and Time, Lumber, eBacon, AIA Contract Documents, and CompanyCam. Field teams can use its iOS and Android apps to check schedules, clock in and out, upload photos, and record expenses. The Core plan costs $149 a month and includes one user; Advanced costs $399 a month and includes ten users. Additional users cost $29/month on either plan. A 14-day trial is available; Enterprise pricing is by quote.
