In their own words
Flexzo Rostering
Flexzo Rostering schedules multidisciplinary health and care teams and brings together absence management, temporary staffing and workforce visibility. It is designed for organizations rostering doctors, nurses, porters and allied health professionals. Its AI engine creates schedules that balance staff preferences, compliance rules, budget constraints and clinical safety. Demand planning can model requirements by service, location, shift type and specialty, while accounting for patient acuity and clinical activity. Availability tools cover annual leave, sickness, study leave and additional shift requests, alongside skills tracking and work regulation rules. Staffing gaps can be handled through float pools, shared float pools and agency options, with escalation described as going through internal float pools before agency. Organizations can encode local rules, supervision ratios, protected training time and pay scales; schedule decisions are described as auditable and policy-compliant. Staff can use the mobile app to view schedules, book float pool shifts, request changes and communicate with teams. Flexzo says its workforce systems support open APIs and standards-based connectors alongside existing ESR, EPR and HR systems. The service is available on Android, iOS and web. Pricing is on request.
MedAligna
MedAligna schedules healthcare staff while applying rules for credentials, rest, staffing ratios, and duty hours. It is described for clinics, hospitals, long-term care facilities, and home care agencies, and is available on the web, Android, and iOS. Nurses can select shifts during seniority-tiered windows with caps, with selections checked against rules as they are made. Shift swaps are screened for conflicts such as double-booking, inadequate rest, and expired credentials before approval. Credential checks cover the whole shift, and the system blocks an assignment if a required credential will expire before it ends. Managers enter census by unit and shift to compare required and actual staffing with acuity weighting. Calendar sync is listed for Google, Outlook, and Apple; payroll export is included in Pro and above. MedAligna exports hours but does not calculate net pay, withhold taxes, or transfer money. Plans are billed per location: Starter is $99 a month, Pro is $149 a month, and Enterprise is $249 a month. Each includes a 14-day trial without a card.
