Overview

GymPoint brings membership records, classes, payments, point of sale and member access into a single system for gym operators. It suits businesses that want billing and class administration alongside lead and retention tools. Its breadth is useful, but the free plan’s processor requirement and Pro’s price for multi-location support deserve close attention.

Key features

Member profiles put contact details, membership status, billing and check-in history, and private staff notes together. That gives staff operational context in one record; gyms needing only a basic class calendar may not need this wider administrative scope.

Scheduling includes recurring templates, capacity limits, automated waitlists, member bookings and trial-class bookings that create leads. These tools help manage both class demand and prospect intake. Pulse AI adds lead scoring, churn prediction, failed-payment recovery and weekly business insight digests, linking member operations to follow-up and retention. The $1 monthly credit on Free is modest; Growth offers 500 credits per month and Pro makes them unlimited.

GymPoint Payments accepts tap, chip, swipe and contactless payments, and supports POS and inventory. GymPoint says it does not store, process or transmit raw cardholder data; PCI DSS-compliant third-party processors handle it. The platform also lists barcode scanning and service sales. Integrations include a public REST API, Zapier-compatible outbound webhooks, Wellhub (formerly Gympass), Poynt Payments, and embeddable schedule and signup widgets.

GymPoint’s security policy says it enforces HTTPS/TLS and encrypts specified sensitive database data at rest using Fernet encryption. After account cancellation, data is retained for 90 days before permanent deletion, with backups retained for 30 days.

Pricing

GymPoint has a free plan, paid plans billed monthly, and a 7-day trial. Annual billing saves 20% on paid plans.

Free — free: Unlimited members and the core platform—members, billing, scheduling, POS, kiosk and portal. It requires GymPoint Payments as processor, so it is a poor fit for operators who need to use another processor. Its $1 monthly Pulse AI credit is also limited.
Growth — 149.00 USD per month: One location, 500 Pulse AI credits per month, the full Growth Suite, Smart Dunning and CRM. It suits a single-location gym that wants more retention and payment follow-up than Free provides.
Pro — 249.00 USD per month: Unlimited locations, unlimited Pulse AI and everything in Growth. This is the relevant tier for multi-location operators, but its higher monthly cost is difficult to justify for a single site that does not need those expanded limits.

Platforms

GymPoint supports Android, iOS, web and API access. The member portal and installable member app extend access beyond staff workflows.

Who it's for

GymPoint describes plans for gyms of any size, established gyms and multi-location operators. Its listed fitness types include CrossFit, martial arts, boxing, yoga, gymnastics, dance, Pilates and personal training. The combination of recurring billing, class management and POS is most compelling for operators who want those workflows together; businesses prioritizing a different processor or a narrower toolset should compare alternatives.

Pros and cons

Pros: Scheduling combines capacity controls and waitlists with member and trial-class bookings, supporting both class operations and lead capture.
Pros: The Free plan includes unlimited members and core operating tools, making it possible to start without a subscription.
Cons: Free requires GymPoint Payments, limiting its appeal to gyms that need processor choice.
Cons: Pulse AI is tightly capped on Free, while unlimited locations require the $249.00 USD per month Pro plan.

Alternatives

For a gym-oriented POS comparison, browse Gym POS Software. Choose ParallelPOS if its POS, inventory, HR, expenses, reports, CRM and 24/7 tech support copilot suit your operation; its Basic plan is 149.99 USD per month per location and it has no free plan. Club Bar is a free, self-hosted option for clubs willing to run software on their own hosting and hardware. OpenEOS offers a self-hosted free plan with unlimited events, all features and community support, which may suit event-focused organizations that can run their own server.

Waresport Pro Shop POS may fit teams seeking an Android, iOS and web POS with athlete-count-based plans: Team is 69.99 USD per month for up to 75 athletes, with POS included. Bepoz Club POS is another option to consider. Owners Inventory Gym POS is a web-based alternative with a free plan and a Basic tier at 25.00 USD per month for one store and one POS terminal, which may suit simpler inventory and order needs. Clubspeed offers a paid, no-free-trial option with Core POS, ClubDirector, ClubBooking, e-Giftcards, integrated payments and business-hours support for 319.00 USD per year on annual billing. clubcloud uses custom pricing based on club volume, programming mix and growth plans.

Verdict

GymPoint is a strong fit for gyms that want membership administration, scheduling, billing and POS in one system, with lead and retention tools that scale across paid tiers. The free plan’s processor requirement is the main reason to look elsewhere; multi-location operators should also weigh whether Pro’s 249.00 USD per month cost matches their needs.
