In their own words
HeroMed
HeroMed is web-based AI medical practice management software for medical and allied-health clinicians. It brings scheduling, patient records, clinical notes, billing and AI tools together with patient CRM, digital intake and consent, team workflows, patient communications, branding and security features. Its AI Scribe drafts structured consultation notes and supports ICD-10 coding; practitioners review, correct and sign each note. Core AI also supports real-time South African medical scheme EDI claims, remittances and reconciliation. Practices can connect WhatsApp to the diary and patient records through the official WhatsApp Business API, using a dedicated number in their Twilio account. A private iCal feed can be viewed in Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar, but calendar changes do not return to HeroMed. The platform lists role-based access, audit trails, encryption and daily backups, and describes itself as POPIA, HIPAA and GDPR-aware. Plans start at $49/month, with a 14-day trial that includes full access and requires no credit card.
